And this is a major problem if you ever get your CUCV off the pavement and into some mud. The rear swings left/right from one rut to the other.
I found a pair of wheels that look VERY similar to stock CUCV wheels, but they had a different offset and now it tracks straight in the mud and still...
The 6.2L gave up the farm and I got a screaming deal on a 6.5L w/ side mounted turbo.
The old engine is out.
New engine is mounted to the transmission and motor mounts. Flex plate is bolted up.
I know there is a thread on all the "little" things like having to modify my rear battery tray...

What would be a good modern oil to run in this genset?
Also, what oil filter and air filter would work for this unit?
If I recall, the lub order called for a straight 30w oil.

I've had pretty good luck with this and it has a lifetime warranty.
This will work but the pulley is a tiny bit smaller than the stock one so you will adjust it out almost to the end of the stops.

Got a civvy console off of craigslist and just mounted all my gear to it. No holes cut in the truck. For a antenna, I used a BNC to FM adapter and hook it up to the long ass green .mil antenna that was on the truck.

There is one pair of speakers installed in the console but I have added a pair in the rear on the wheel humps.

I'm going to add 2 of these to the dash where existing screw holes are located.
They work well offshore, so they should hold up fine in the truck and they fold up when not in use.
