I also have come full circle ! Much as I like their initial price, double beed lock, and on-trail repair potencial. I would stay clear from then, too much hazzle to get then to work right and way too heavy.
Had both on built front Dana60's. The PowerTrack in the M1008, a Detroit Locker in my other truck. Both are great additions and have similar characteristics. ON road the powertrack is much quieter, both perform as well OFF road, but as mention earlier the way to go is a "Selectable" Air...
Since you descided to R. & R. your mechanical pump. You may lossen your engine mount and lift the engine on the right side a bit, pretty straight forward 15 -20 extra min. It will give you all the room you need. I did that when I remove my rear most right injector to remove a G.P. broken tip
A...
No problem!
Bottom line if you have the cash, buy a good commercially available tire BFG, Pro Comp, Firestone have good affordable lines. You can also buy much BETTER tires, as I mention TOYO , NITTO and Intercos M16 among others.
You may get a good set shopping ebay or your local...
Compare to something in particular???
Compared to premium Nitto, Toyo, (makers of prob the best two "all around" and highest quality tires out there or other tire makers ...Geolanders , BFG, D. Cepek, M/T, Interco M16, ProComp etc. "On anf Off" tread patterns, that I am personably familiar...
The old adage about IFS = POS, Was put to rest a long time ago...
The IFS found in road going vehicles is usually more comfortable but not necessarily the best examples of their potential for more demanding OFF-ROADING, while it is the best way for others. Conversely the same can be said...
I think this is the same Bronco, as is has a similar front custom bumper that Stacy Kieth(?) in the Speedvision channel show "Gears", has rebuilt for Ted Nugget twice in the past couple of years, besides extensive body work the suspension and axles were completely redone to premium after market...
If I remember correctly the most notable ribs were at the top of pun kin/case,
they may have also had other improvements.
The 3 lock set came from GMC Paul's truck parts #1171892 (765) 344-2906 about $35 in '06 with S/H
Yes , good note! If I remenver correctly the civilians truck went to one piece vent seals in 1984, but like a few other things the military for the most stayed with the 1983 parts for the most, black non locking window vents and black door locks, 6.2 engine engine mounts, 14 bolts with out...
Not sure if you ask me?
But yes , I did.
I had remove the door panel for cleaning, lubrication, new ONE KEY locks/ignition and ALL window guides & seals. I found the best for me ( with the truck lift) was to remove the vent window, and replace the rivet (LMC has the correct replacement, I...
I am in Dover, De. 2 miles west of Dover Air Force base we had over 8" of rain, heard of a Tornado 32 miles South of us with some 10 damage structures. "Extreme Home Makeover" TV show, will probably cover it since they have being filming a September show for the last few weeks. The roads...
the INTERNET may not be error and mistake free, but ALL is information...
I think, Johannes Gutenbenber (1398-1468) would agree
Father of the printing revolution and perhaps the most important event in world history to date, by spreading learning to the masses
Mine came with a oil leak at the pick up pump.
Also unexplained oil leaks are a good indicator to check and maybe replace the crankcase vent "The Tuna Can". It will exacerbate oil leaks (and if so equipped, the oil filler tube vent filter) You could for the moment take it off and flush it with...
:ditto:
When I get around to this, the springs and hardware bolts will be New, no point in risquing the outcome with old parts, unless it was a trail repair
I think you can do it yourself, But I would have to order replacement springs and either pay for shipping to my house or drive to the dealer, 2+ hours away to pick then up. Then pay to ship my old springs to BDS for "a possible arbitrary" warranty replacement. Does not make financial sense...
You will like the BDS springs, if you have not used then before. IMO, I think for this application they are "the best OFF the shelf sprigs" on the market.
However my front left side has sagged about an inch, after ruling out shocks and bushings and calling BDS (my dealer has closed its doors)...
