    Worn Torque Rod Symptoms

What is the common symptom of a worn/weak Torque Rod bushing (dog bone)? As I understand it it limits forward and rearward movement of the axles. My deuce gets a lot of rear axle hop in reverse. Not all the time but regularly, I find it happens turning while backing or while under load (backing...

She won't start in the cold!

As I try to understand the flame heater, it's there to pre-heat the intake path components and inrush of air. As I try to wrap my hands around the process I see the flame heater using much needed oxygen for the starting of the engine to develop the flame. Kind of counter productive if let to run...

She won't start in the cold!

Your not clogging up the fourm. You are fighting a battle we won't have to by writing about it. I use this fourm to help me solve my issues. Thanks for your time putting it here. Good luck!

She won't start in the cold!

There has been a lot of good advise in this thread[thumbzup]. As I was reading valve adjust kind of popped into my mind. Also fuel timing might be an issue. Filters first though.

    The Deuce is Home! Finally!

The sale was #4678 invoiced on 18SEP. There was a lot of trucks up there. I snapped a pic of a few of them. There was less than eighty, my guess sixty or so. The ones up toward the gate were a little rougher, only saw one not drivable (missing a front wheel). It seemed that there was more gaps...

    The Deuce is Home! Finally!

It went a lot smoother than I thought. The truck is great, kind of a let down I set aside some time to work on it and now all I have to do is clean it up and replace a stop light bulb:-D. The shop is where I work, we shut down in the winter, (seasonal marina) so the shop open an the management...

    First snow for my deuce

The first time I got to drive my deuce at home was in the snow. I just off loaded it from the trailer yesterday and there was about five inches with inch of ice under it. It did ok, slipped a lot but kept going. With the ice it made it a little dicey. I was told to go single on the rear to put...

    The Deuce is Home! Finally!

Your saying your dad had a continuing issue with the oil filter? Hope all ended out ok. It is funny (not funny ha ha) that they were processed at the same time and one went through and yours didn't.

    The Deuce is Home! Finally!

Waiting for the transport! Second pic is Eric loading at Frankfort than heading out east. I tried to help out out and jump start the off road tractor up front, no go, too cold and not enough amperage, the locals helped out and jumped it (and loaded it). Had a nice experience at Frankfort.

    The Deuce is Home! Finally!

As with many of you my day finally came, the deuce is in my shop. I bid on the truck kind of out of a whim, I did not put a lot of thought into bidding on it back in September. I have always wanted one so I just put a bid on one. I had no idea of its condition, I just threw caution to the wind...

Select Vehicles on Hold GL WHAT?

Dang! This was my first try at getting a deuce, it seems that it was not as straight forward as I first saw the process. I really want a deuce, I have been dealt a blow due to the wrangling of the government. This is what I read: Dear Valued Customer, The DRMS has just notified Government...

Anybody mount a snow plow on their deuce?

When I was stationed in Alaska we had a M37 with a plow mounted. I was just out of Boot Camp and my job was manning the manual pump in the passenger seat. It was like a hydraulic setup off a floor jack, pump the handle to raise and twist the little tee valve to lower. To change the blade...

    EUC Holding Pattern

M35a2 Preview, Fort Knox or Frankfort KY anyone going?

I was wondering if you happen to remember seeing/starting this truck, lot 6920, #4678. I was the winner and am going down blind to recover it after I'm approved. Thanks!
