I'm in Utah, thanks though. If i get the whole axle plus the driveshaft do i still need to mess with the pinion. The blazer has at 208 tcase like mine so it should fit. right?
Also, i don't have enough money at the moment to get larger tires. I have 31 on now, so i know it will look weird...
I have an 85 1009 that needs a new rear axle. So being in college and not having a lot of money, I found a civi 82 (i think) blazer that is being parted out. It has a 12-bolt corporate in the rear and not sure whats in the front. I have pics, ill post them when in get home in a few hours. The...
Are there oring or some kind of seals for the connections between the injection lines and where they connect to the pump. what about for the throttle shaft in the middle. If so, is it a specific seal kit or could i just get some orings that fit.
So my IP took a dump the other day. I received a new one from KR Services off of ebay (here) after researching where to get one from here on SS. I have searched all over this website and couldnt find what i was looking for. I am quite good at it since i have had many issues with my blazer. I...
Thanks.
What causes those gears to go? Just years of driving or what. Could it be the fact that my parking brake doesn't work? does that put too much stress on the gears?
Yea, i live here in Utah. I haven't gone wheelin yet. I have only taken it out in the desert a few times. It is my daily driver so i don't want to risk anything. Unfortunately it is down now so i have a hard time getting places. I don't have a lot of money right now because of college. So...
Driving around the other day i suddenly had a hard time making sharp turns. I noticed it when i pulled into a parking spot. The rear wheels felt like they were locked together. Half way through a turn it would make a loud popping sound and turn. I got home and took off the rear plate on my...
Fate is the Hunter by Ernest Gant
if you are a pilot you will really like this book. He describes every part of flying that pilots think about. There are a lot of neat stories.
Other great ones are
Stuka Pilot
Thud Ridge
The Blonde Knight
i just wired a cheap momentary toggle switch into the cab. i have one end grounded and the other going to the relay. I think the switch is only like 5 or 10 amps, don't really think you need anything bigger if it is going to the relay.
I was running mine w/ rough idle for awhile. i was a slightly clogged fuel return valve on the top of the IP. I was still able to accelerate fine after i cleaned it but for some reason idling it would cause the whole motor to shake and sound bad. I pulled a new valve off an old IP and it fixed...
Does anyone happen to know the exact length of 3/8th and 1/4th lines i need to replace all the rubber fuel lines under the hood. I'm talking about from the metal line from the tank to the filter, pump, and IP. I don't need to change the return lines, I only have my 1009 this weekend so i want...
I'm just south of you off 89 by the water tank. I would like to get together and see what you guys got planned. My dad was talking about flying out to Lucin in his plane to meet us if we go out there.
I'm definitely going to try to make it. I still am having fuel problems with my 1009 but I hope to get them fixed this weekend and have plenty of time to find all the other problems that will arise before the trip. Hopefully I don't have anything happen during the trip but with my luck...
