After reading my TMs and searching here I think i found my glow plug problem. But I wanted to check with you all to see if i have it right.
First some back ground, I bought my M1008 from GL and have not changed any wiring under the hood. When I first brought the cucv home it was warm weather...

got my '86 M1008 from GL at Fort Meade[sept '08] the hood is basically bare metal/rust and the rest of the paint is faded [see pic]
would carc fade like this?
Anyway to tell if its carc or regular paint?

The front battery was dead and the back was low...charged them and they held a good charge

i got a m101a1 from govliq... finally got around to packing the bearings and hubs w/ fresh grease today... there was no seal or silicone and hardly any grease... mostly just rust.
anyway the inner bearing is rusted to the spindle. i can't get to the lock ring and i cant get the bearing to move...
i'm trying to find info on the spare tire mount, if i remember right i read on here that not many have made it into civilian hands. anyone know which parts manual would have an exploded parts illistration? anyone know where one is they could take some picture of for me?
