MEP-802A No 120VAC without battle short.

All functions were a GO on the generator. I plugged in a 1500w space heater (yes I know it is a little more than 10a) into the convenience outlet and it ran for a while until it tripped the GFCI. I reset it and everything worked fine except for the voltmeter now will not display voltage unless...

    Normandy France June 6, 2014 70th Anniversary

I too was there for the 60th and met many veterans from the U.S., Canada, and the UK who told remarkable stories about Normandy and beyond. The people in Normandy are still very grateful to United States and polite to American visitors. When I was there, I got to know a family who lives near...

    Air Brake system troubleshooting

This may not solve your entire issue but have you closed the glad hand valve(s)? If your service valve is open, once you depress the brake it will let out a lot of air and quickly drop your tank pressure.

M923 Hard to start on any slight incline

Do you have a filter between the fuel tank and the pump? Have you checked the pump screen for accumulated sediment? This may prevent it from developing enough suction even though it is gurgling. You should not have to prime it but a dozen times or so. I suspect your lift pump may be to...

M923 Hard to start on any slight incline

Durango, Thank you. I spent a bit of time cleaning it, taping stuff off and repainting it with Cummins Beige. A little tedious, but worthwhile. Semper Fi

No worries, I hope you get this figured out soon. :driver:

M923 Hard to start on any slight incline

Juanprado, The line from the fuel tank comes into the fuel filter on the very left. It then goes into the lift pump in the lower center. From there, the lift pump line goes into the fuel/water separator and then to the IP. Let us know if this helps. Good luck!

M923 Hard to start on any slight incline

Do you all have a fuel filter before the lift pump? Replace the filters before and after the pump. I would also disconnect the line into the lift pump and ensure the metal screen is not clogged. On my M939, I installed a full-size, screw-on fuel filter (not a water separator) before the lift...

    M939/A1/A2 ABS vs. Non-ABS Trucks

It is my understanding that it stalls because of the Allison's 5th gear lockup. I have many hundreds of hours in my M925A2 on icy and snowpacked roads here in Colorado and am not sold on the ABS. I have absolute confidence in the non-ABS trucks in any weather conditions (provided the truck has...

Need VIN inspection by LEO in Halifax, NC

Hey Chris, I just had a VIN inspection done here in CO on my M925A2 and I had to drive it to an inspection station (i.e. Kenworth shop) and they did it for $20. Is there a place nearby Winslow that could do the same? Is your title from Colorado? Why are you using a CO VIN form? I would...

Odd habit or not, I appreciate your way of thinking. You can never be too prepared. Safety first.

    Chineese Hummers

I also liked the Suburban when I test drove it. Problem was, the handling wasn’t as crisp as I would have wanted and didn’t want to void the warranty adding stuff. I agree with you on diesels – I own them and love them. They weren’t available in the Hummer. I have heard the same crack a few...

    Chineese Hummers

Dug, Whether you are aware of this or not, many things you own and use have some connection with China - globalization. C'est la vie. Hey, India owns Jaguar and Land Rover, have their prices tanked? As I have mentioned, it is too bad that American brands are being assimilated by foreign...

    Chineese Hummers

Indeed, it is unfortunate that the Chinese continue to gobble up American interests and no doubt this is an inevitable byproduct of the current economy. However, those who perpetuate the myth that H2’s (2008 or newer) are overblown Tahoes have never owned one, compared them side by side, or...

    Memphis Equipment Rebuild Question

I had a REB shift kit in my M211 and I can tell you that it is fantastic. It is a 4-speed shifter that is attached to the shift tower. It is manually shifted and is clutchless so you can keep it in the gear of your choice without the "hunting" that would occasionally occur if you didn't have...
