    HMMWV headers

I had a set of those. Worst quality headers I've ever seen. Ugly welds and shocking to look inside them. Looks like the individual pipes were cut with a hacksaw and jammed into the collector (? Main body?). Really rough work. As mentioned they only work on Hummers.

    Hutchenson rubber runflat/beadlock Questions

It's the rubber type I'm asking about. I know it can be done with the magnesium type. I've edited the subject so that's a little clearer. Thanks!

    Hutchenson rubber runflat/beadlock Questions

All I've seen are pictures  First are they for 12 bolt rims only or can they be used in 8 bolt as well? Somebody is claiming they can't. Can you use the beadlock insert without the runflat?

Run gasoline or diesel in a multifuel

On a 4X4 board I frequent there is some nut claiming a deuce was made to run on gasoline or diesel or a mix. Claims there is a plate next to the steering column stating such. Further he claims he's done it. I've already called him on it. So I could be falling flat on my face. Is there any...

    REMOVING UNDERCOATING

Just a follow up. The Pressure Washer & kerosene isn't working out as well as I thought. Large, easy to get to areas it's pretty good. it's the nooks & crannies. If I could pull the body off it would help a lot. It's just the body ,M1009, on the frame but laying on my back on a creeper isn't...

    Keep messing them up!

But overall somebody got a decent Hummer for $25k.

CUCV M1009 External spare tire mount

X2. Looks fairly lightweight to me. The problem of that type of mount pulling out of the fender is well known. A 33" tire is probably pushing it's limits and I'd definitely be concerned about putting a larger tire on it. A bumper/frame mounted tire carrier is the way to go.

    my new deuce

Looks good :D So, is it parked on a HMMWV?

    M1000 No Start AGAIN!!

While you have your voltmeter out check your glowplugs as well.

    Time to replace the doors....

X2 on the used doors. They are readily available and cheap. Keep an eye on craigslist, ebay, these forums, etc. I paid $50 for two doors. Less $$$ and work than new skins. :D

FONTANA Scrap Yard Run!!! Anyone care to join?

Pretty sure I can be there but don't wait for me!

    REMOVING UNDERCOATING

Borrowed a pressure washer, 3200PSI, works pretty well with the kerosene and a scotch-brite pad.

    HMMWV parts

I'm looking for air valve stems for my HMMWV rims. So far they have been hard to track down. Don't ask what AMG wants for them, they want more for one than I am willing to pay for 5 and that's NEW :?

    Fuel Filter Leak

Futz with it and hope for the best or replace it. It's a known potential problem :(

NEW HUMVEE 16.5 RIMS for my M1008!

Of the numerous threads I have read most have been about bad service. Usually long delays in getting the product and having been charged before the product was shipped. I'd also venture most of those posts praised the product and workmanship once they got it. However I also remember a specific...

NEW HUMVEE 16.5 RIMS for my M1008!

Bad customer service? Sure that's a problem they have but I have not heard anything bad about the products. Sorry, I don't see anything bad about "assembly required." You have to assemble them to mount a tire  What's so hard about putting in the bolts? The valve stems do suck though. I'm...

    CUCV Gauge Replacement Write-up Suggestions?

Well, you are already swapping meters but I have heard a mid '80s Medium Duty Truck dash is the same cluster. Has a 5,000 RPM tach and an air guage. Might be worth looking into for just the tach.

    REMOVING UNDERCOATING

Sand blasting didn't work for me. The undercoating takes longer to remove and I ended up with pitting the metal around any blobs of undercoating.

    donor vehicle swapping

I'll agree with AMJBlazer. It shouldn't be that hard at all. The 700 coming from a diesel will already be set up for you as the Torque Converter and Govenor are different for a diesel. Of course I think it's a good idea because it's what I'm doing although I'm putting in a 14BFF and a 6.5 Turbo...
