Guys,
I'd like my M939A2 engine oil and filter changed. After a light trail ride I inspected under the chasis and I noticed the oil filter was leaking from the top. Probably time for an oil change. I also don't know how old the oil is but I had a mechanic look at it almost 12 months ago and...
Will the CTIS system work for some tires but not for others on the truck? For example, if 5 tires have valve stems in them, preventing the CTIS from adding air, but one tire doesn't have a valve stem, will the CTIS work for that one tire? Or will the system fault out and not do anything...
Guys,
I haven't been able to find this information in the manual or via search. Does anyone have official measurements (inside dimensions for the bed)? Normally I'd drive to the lot where my truck is and take measurements, but I'm in my work clothes. Anyone know where to find these details...
The big rig has a hissing front right tire. Around 70 psi (primary air pressure gauge) the hissing starts. It's intermittent (it'll stop hissing for some reason, then start again). Here's a video. Unfortunately the noise of the truck is masking much of the hissing noise but you can hear it if...
I heard some leaking as I started the m925A2 up this morning so I checked the tires. The back-most driver's side tire was hissing and I went to make sure some fitting were tight. Upon gently trying to tighten a nut on an exterior air hose, it sheared off. Here are some photos. I'm trying to...
I've been reading that great upgrades for driver seating is an air ride seat. For me, that's too intensive of an installation and they're very pricey as well. I've been reading a thread where someone used Mastercraft suspension seating (mastercraft defense) that those seats are expensive as...
I appear to have a slow drip leak on my Garwood 20,000 lb. winch. Per other threads/posts it seems as though many (most?) winches have a slow leak and it's often not worth repairing.
I've also read that some of you are adding John Deere Corn Head grease due to its high viscosity resulting in...
I started up my M925A2 after it sat in a snowstorm for over 4 hours. It was freezing out so I let it idle for around 15min. at ~700 rpm. When I get into the truck I noticed my trans oil temp was over 160 degree F and my engine temp was not even 120 F yet. Why would my trans oil temp be...
I finally was able to turn the fuel up in the 1990 M925A2. I ended up taking both the 14mm and 10mm nuts completely off since I didn't have a way to adjust them separately with the tools I had. I am having a special 14mm socket made that will allow the 10mm socket to reach through the center...
Hi all,
I was inspecting the underside of my M925A2 yesterday and I noticed a threaded hole that appeared to be missing the bolt. Is this normal or am I actually missing something? The photos are near the front axle and the viewing angle is me looking up.
Thank you for your help!
Brent
I have been snooping around on this killer forum and noticed that someone said if you want a capable, yet 'fast', off-road vehicle that a CUCV (not sure what that means yet) is your best bet.
Does anyone know the hp (horsepower) and tq (torque) for the 6.2 V-8? Also, what is the max. safest...
