The truck has been sitting a while, but I started it today and it immediately went up to the governor. But it still shut down with the engine Stop lever. Now it's a crank no start. Can't find anything in the tm's. Any ideas guys?
Hi. I have a quick question for you 5 ton guys. I only have a deuce, and we all know that it is rated to only tow 10,000 lbs. But how much is a m818 or m931 rated to tow? Either on the pintle or in the 5th wheel. And if you have a GCVWR if you could add the veichle weight that would be...
Hey guys I've noticed a quite loud popping coming from what I think is the rear axle when I turn on a hard surface. I've noticed it for a long time but last night it seemed to get louder. Any ideas?
Ok I understand that the tow rating of a deuce is 10,000 lbs. I'm just wondering why. Is it based solely on the lack of power? I would just think that with size of the vehicle the tow rating would be higher. Large frame heavy truck and the hitch looks to me like it could handle over 10,000 lbs...
Does anyone know if the electrical connectors on the deuce can be taken apart to upgrade old wiring. And i don't mean the little ribber ones like on the lights. I mean the the screw in ones like on the flasher and the turn signal switch.
Does this look like the right pump to you guys? It's a vickers, the number is VTM-42-50-45-15-MF-L1-14-S4. Seems to be the same number most the other guys are running. But is there supposed to be a gear on the end? i know i need the adapter. What do you guys think?
Does anyone that has put a 5 ton vickers pump on a deuce have any pictures of the pump itself? I need to see what all I need with the pump like the adapter and the gear.
whenever i drive through the creek i don't have brakes for a couple of miles. what do you guys think about drilling the drums. i know guys use to do it to jeeps back in the day. don't see why it wouldn't work on the deuce.
does anyone have detailed instructions on turning up a m35a2 injection pump? some that include driections, safe boost and EGT levels, how much it is safe to turn up, and maybe even some pics of the process.
i think my m35a2 is losing fues prime. if t sitfor even 5 mnutes on level ground or parked up hill it cranks for 30-45 seconds before it will start. but not so much if parked down hill. i don't like cranking it that long without oil pressure and it's hard on the starter. it even does it when...
