Update on the Chug. Finally starting to putting things together instead of taking things apart, kind of. Primer and paint got applied on the back side of the deuce today. Never used a spray gun until today, it was over 100 when the paint went on and the results where ok, but the paint wanted...

More work on the deuce. My deuce was in civilian hands before I got it, so I think everything should be checked thoroughly and replace anything in question. Since I am going to be driving the deuce for a month or so at a time and in the mountains I wanted to check the bearings, brakes and do a...

I ended up going with Rapco paints. Red Oxide Zinc Phoshate Primer. Flat Black-for the frame, axles and leafsprings. The body will be flat tan. I thought about using a bed liner, thinned down so it would not be to thick. Even after power washing the axles and leaf springs 3 time I did not...

Got air ride seats from a semi truck salvage yard. I don't care for the color (grey) so I will get some kind of seat covers. They were dirty so I power washed them and let them dry in the 100+ degree weather. They cleaned up really nicely. My tires arrived, I will have pictures of them in a day...

    The Chug build

Started to clean and prep the back of the deuce for painting, I used Reeves degreaser then got after it with the power washer. When I finished I put more degreaser over every part of the chassis and axles, then scrubbed bad areas with a chisel and wire brush then back to the power washer. I...

As to what size of camper, I am not sure yet, I may get a Class C motor home and take the camper and trash the cab. A Class C would give me more room, I could hang it off the back of the deuce a few feet, so we will see, there are a few on Craigs list that are cheep, I am attaching a picture...

What's on top of the M920? Does anyone know anything about it? If that is an A/C unit I would take it. A lot a people may not like the look, but I could live with it, if it kept me cool in 100+ weather we are having.
