I cut out the rotted section and started cleaning up with a flapper disk , I made a new reinforcement out of 3in 1/8th wall box tubing. And I just need to weld er all up , and yes the hard lines are about half annoying, but they will pay off

ok gimpy , sounds like good advise. So if i have this correct , remove the IP, loosen engine mount bolts , fight the steering unit out , rebuild steering unit , mount cab then reassemble ? If that's the case i still could use some info on where to find the IP removal procedure.

i lack access to a forklift or crane ATM. so i need the steering column/box removed to place the new cab on , with it being removed being able to change the seals is just a bonus. edit: as the steering wheel is also more or less destroyed , the steering assembly being removed will make it a lot...

Ok so here is my issue , I had to take the entire body of the old girl ; the rust was just that bad. I have a new cab waiting to go on this weekend , as such i need to take the steering box out to replace the seals , Only way i can see to do this is to pull the injector pump off for clearance...

got a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder , can finish up the frame cleanup before her new body goes on . also pulled the hubs off to check before i did a complete rebuild , they were overhauled in 85, nothing needed replaced except the lines

got the radiator back from the shop, got her all hooked up , new hoses water pump re-installed, everything is good , just need a wiring harness yet before i can change out the filters
