I live about half a mile from there. I was there about the same time as Pigpen60 took the 1st round of pics and they had a lot of parts and complete older 5 tons / 2.5 tons back in 2020. But like it was stated, it's all gone now.
It was a fun place to go exploring on a Saturday afternoon.
Following this. I just purchased (2) of the 20K winches and am reading up on how to install, what else I need, etc.
Thank God I have a forklift is all I can say so far.
I'm glad to hear that. I thought I read in this thread about carriers. But regardless, the broker that arranged my Ft. Bragg hmmwv said he could pick up a load from SMR if everything was on a pallet & ready to be loaded.
The HMMWV hoods, are those able to be put on a pallet? Possibly stack 2 of...
I watched this video while in Tractor Supply gathering 10ga wire & connectors. I plan on installing right after I install my new fuel tank. Thanks for the info!!
1 just bought my 1st HMMWV on January 25 & EUC approved less than 5 weeks. Delivered my M1038 yesterday!!
Can't believe how fast they're getting these out.
I was glad to read this. I just purchased my 1st HMMWV from IP last week from Ft. Bragg, a M1038 also. Being my first EUC submission, I was told 8-12 weeks, so seeing 14 weeks makes me cringe! On the plus side, it allows me 14 weeks to find affordable transportation to St. Louis.
I'd be interested in knowing how he is doing and if he is still there, not mainly for access to buy some of his vehicles, but he's a great guy with tons of stories to tell. We brought him an apple pie when we passed thru over Thanksgiving 2015 (and then he sold me a few parts too, lol).
I was...
We stopped by there on our way back from Springfield over Thanksgiving 2015. We brought him an apple pie and visited with him for a while. His outlook changed on selling things when my wife walked in, he's a big flirt LOL, my 12yr old son and I went thru just the front yard stuff and was able to...
The guy above me got it correct. There is a steel bearing pressed into the shaft to keep young bucks from tampering with the HP. After you drill it out, your fuel adjustment screw is behind it. If you adjusted yours and there was no bearing to drill out, someone has already removed it & adjusted...
I forgot to quote your post. In drilling out my bearing, I'm not sure if I've gotten all the way thru yet. I've never felt the bit break-thru the steel bearing. I had a buddy tell me his flat head screw is about half an inch inset, so I guess I have more drilling.
Over the past few weekends, I upgraded my headlight system to 4 54W LED lightbars. I made these plug & play, using factory packard connectors and existing bolt holes. Bottom spot lights are low beams, click the floor switch and the upper flood beams come on along with the lowers with the use of...
