You could flip the hubs on the A3 axles back to the standard layout and add the necessary chamber to the inside of the wheel. This will allow you to run the A3 wheels much like the M939A1+ trucks. It may be the cheapest solution as you will only need to cover the cost of tools if you do it...

Wouldn't be an M275 or M275 conversion, but rather bobbing it but keeping 6x6. I do believe it has been done before and wouldn't look bad at all. Go for it. Might be a handy truck to have.

Should be doable. I do believe it is a 45 degree chamfer and the only real issue would be matching the depth of the cut. Best of luck if you try it, and as always WE NEED PICTURES!!!

It looks to me that someone took a M135 and put wheels with the centers flipped on the tandems. The dish does not appear to be deep enough to be running dual or standard deuce wheels in a singled configuration.

I think it is a great idea and if you can find another M1061 id suggest just building it. Now about the 1061s, do they use the same bolt pattern as the deuce?

Why not fab a Spare tire carrier on the back of the bed and have it swing out of the way like on a jeep? It can be set up with a NOS winch to lower it to the round when in need.
