    flasher stays lit with headlights...

I took it to a shop, they replaced the bulbs and some wires. I got 5 miles down the road and the problem came back. Any other ideas with those symptoms and it coming back?

    flasher stays lit with headlights...

little further... I noticed my driver side marker bulb barely comes on, it just glows orange some. Passenger side still bright. I switched the bulbs and same thing, so it's not the bulbs, but I guess connection sending power to driver side marker is weak. How can I check and figure out where...

    flasher stays lit with headlights...

Wow, I can't type apparently. Correct, I turn my headlights on and the left flasher arrow just stays lit green. Right flasher arrow works normal. Right it doesn't matter where blinker lever is set, the arrow light just stays on. Will try and take it apart to see what's up, thank u.

I was wondering the same thing, anyone have any ideas? It doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

    Need help... M1009 not starting

Fixed it! Opened bleeder valve on top of fuel filter, some air spurted out and then fuel came out the hose. Then I gave her a few long 5 second cranks and she started right up.

    Need help... M1009 not starting

Only gets driven about once a week, and went to start her up yesterday. She cranked up for about 3 seconds and then died. Now she won't turn over at all. Starter is brand new. Weather is about 70+ degrees I crank it, the starter tries to turn it over but it never does. Starving for fuel maybe...

    M1009 Pics!

I just put a 2.5" lift and 33x12.50's MT's on mine yesterday. Pictures don't do it justice... it's a lot bigger than pics show. When they brought mine out I thought they put the 4" on there by mistake. 2.5" and 33's are perfect for me, and it still fits nicely (but barely) in my garage. :-D

Best option to replace fuel filter base cucv

I too would be interested in knowing this and am scouring the threads for the answer. I keep coming up with this thread though. :|

Hard to start... what say you is the problem?

I'm learning... few questions... #1 So I pull the glow plug wires, then touch one end of the tester to the glow plug end directly, and the other end to what... the postive battery terminal post directly? And I check for resistance that way? #2 A volt/ohm meter usually has a positive tester...

Newbie scared to pull the trigger

Oh and something else to consider if you're single... If you're in your teens or early 20's... a cucv is probably fine for picking up chicks, especially if you throw a little lift on there. If you're in your late 20's like me... the CUCV isn't going to get you a touchdown. My girlfriend...

Newbie scared to pull the trigger

I bought an M1009 for a second play vehicle because I wanted it for same reasons... love the old Blazers. The mil look and tow points etc. attracted me all more. This truck is NOT a daily driver IMO. I added sound insulation (3 layers) to the floor, some jute insulation on top of that, and...

Hard to start... what say you is the problem?

If by cycle you mean the wait light comes on and goes out, then yes. If you mean if I've tested them... no. I don't have a tester and haven't really fully understood how to take them out and test them, so I've just been dealing with the issue. Oh, I forgot one more important thing... if...

Hard to start... what say you is the problem?

My truck never fails to start, but it usually takes 2-3 keyturns to get it going. I have a brand new starter. I live in Memphis, TN so it's not cold here. What may be the problem? Glowplugs? Batteries? (mine are old... voltage usually reads in high yellow somewhere until I get the truck...

What did I see? Memphis, TN area

Bingo! LMTV... that's what I saw! Do they auction those off to the public just out of curiosity? EDIT: Nevermind... I just read another thread which said they wouldn't see decommissioning anytime soon. Guess the gas station one was in service.

What did I see? Memphis, TN area

Sorry I don't have a pic, but it was parked at a gas station this morning. It looked fairly new, or at least a new camo paintjob and in excellent shape. It "looked" like a Unimog, only the front didn't look like a Mercedes Unimog front. Although it was painted and I just got a glance. 4...

    Insurance

I have Farm Bureau... they asked for VIN, couldn't find it in the system. I told them it was the same thing as an '85 Chevy Blazer, they said OK and put it in that way. Cost me $74 every 6 months as my 2nd vehicle.

    Manual glow plug setup

I bought mine with a new glow plug relay so I'm not familiar with what wires do what. Anyone have a pic handy? Yes, yes... I can do a search too but it's relevant to this thread.
