I just want to know, can you paint over CARC with civi flat paint, will it adhere or do I have to splurge on the $100 gallon good stuff???

yes, ive never tried to remove all the carc. i use automotive ppg simi flat.
$38.00 a gal.

Yeah problem with carc is the adhesion is terrible especially on aluminum. What you put on top will only be stuck as well as the carc paint.

That's for sure, I used to collect D-90s. But consumer paint will adhere to CARC, No problem?

Well that depends on the type of consumer paint but yeah. In the end even the worse adhesion of the consumer paint to the carc would be better than the carc to bare metal.
