Bought this one on Monday by mistake. I thought I needed the wheels but didn't.
Not much room left in the yard for more trailers, so I converted this one to a planter. No worries, just five minutes and it's a trailer again, but I thought by cleaning up the sppearance, it might help keep some neighbors off my back.
Looks neat at night with battery hooked up to the lights. I made it 12v lighting in lieu of 24v, and I'm going with led lights so as to not draw to much electricity.
I might install a couple of solar panels, but it being in a mostly shaded parking area under a tree, I might just use an extension cord and battery charger.
It remains a work in progress.

Probably not the correct thread, but I'm desperate!

Cannot find seals to go with new bearings on my M101A1 (yes, that's what the data plate states it is). My mechanic has tried 6 different seals including the govt. part number (it's too small), and the NAPA 49426 seems to no longer be available.

The existing seal that was removed had the following numbers engraved spread around the inner portion of the seal:

"CHO 04221 2 SB2 2.812 3.872 C.438"

HELP!

If I can get it back on it's wheels I'll post a picture; it looks wounded right now.

Yes, it's definitely the wrong thread for this. Maybe a Mod will move it to a more appropriate one for you. For now, because you are new, I have to ask a few questions first because it should not be that difficult.
Does your M101A1 have surge brakes? If not, it is likely a true M101A1, but, withoutt a pic, we cannot tell.
.Wounded or not, we cannot help you unless you help us a bit more than you have laid out, so pictures might be a must of the whole trailer including the tongue, and the axle underneath Good luck.

or maybe this image works better
If it is part number 25, it is NSN 5330001548353, available on your favorite national auction site. It is, however, 4" wide on that site, so I'm not sure if it is a fit. That is the same wheel seal as on my M37. It is half the price at Oshkosh. They should be able to expedite it out for you with their great service.

Good luck.

M923 with a M105A2

Here is my M923 pulling a M105A2. First time I hooked the two up together. All the lights worked but didn't hook up the air brakes. Used it to haul some fire wood. Towed great behind the truck. Only thing I had to adapt was to put on some 5/8" shackles so the tow hooks would fit on the truck.

That's a great combination; looking real good. [thumbzup]

I'm new to the forum. I just grabbed this M1061 trailer and got done modifying it to pull behind my pickup. Added lights, electric over hydraulic brakes, and changed it out to a ball hitch.

Welcome from here in Virginia.

That is one great looking trailer; nice score. There is not a single visible mark on the thing. [thumbzup]

Did you already paint it, or did you pick it up like that, "right-out-of-the-box"?

I bed linered the top then painted it Rustolium "Sand" color. It was in really good shape though. There is still some pealing paint on the underside I need to address also.
