The lift mechanical pump on the 1123 left me kind of stranded last week. Installed a Facet electric pump 4-6PSI and has been testing fine so far. Bought a new mechanical pump from HPG but will not install in the near future and when I do, i will leave the electric one in place for emergencies.
Used my jumper to start the truck with the 1151.
FAC-40151?

How was the installation?

One word of warning on Electric pumps they PUSH better than they PULL, so closer to the tank is better... Easier on the pump. Just makin count.

This one. Installation was fast as i did not remove the lift pump yet. I am going through all the plumbing of the existing. I wanted to test 1st prior to the rmoval of the mechanical. Installed on top, right next to the power steering reservoir and used a switched wire from the instrument panel (don't remember which one i used, could it be a 27) something i noticed though, when i turn the switch on the pump makes a tiking noise pumping, but does not stop right away as my polaris MRZR (very similar pump) that leads me to believe the injection pump is not stopping the flow (all this prior to starting) and when it starts i see a little more black smoke than usual, of course it could be my imagination.

Thinking about it, of course the injection pump is not stopping it, it goes through the return.

Agreed and noted. I am planning on going mechanical again and just leaving the electrical as back up where i just have to switch hoses and re-install the fuse to get back on the road if i get stranded. Well not sure what i am going to do yet to be honest, was just too lazy and it was too hot to replace the mechanical pump a couple of days ago. 😅

I actually have a Holley Red Pump on the frame back by the tank on a toggle through a relay for 12V...
After two nonfunctional Mechanicals... Just bypassed and left it. I'll just carry a spare...
