Hah, well to be honest I could get the weight down by removing the main water tank. It is all of 2 inches over height so that's not hard to fix. The only thing is that it is 10 feet wide. If I could get an annual permit that clears it the investment for this thing is worth it. I could put like a mobile shop in place of the main water tank. It's powered by 2 Detroit 8v92s so plenty of grunt power. And for the price I'm having a hard time telling myself I don't need it. Now if I can just make sure I don't take out half of the trees on the trail I will totally get her dirty. Hmm might need a few trucks around me if I get stuck somehow.

I was thinking in Indiana we could get a yearly oversize permit, as long as it isn't driven after dark? Might be worth checking in to. I think I might have seen it either on the DMV website, or in the Indiana CDL study manual.

On a side note I have never been to Haspin. I plan on this year being my first. From watching some of the Youtube videos though....with some of those tight turns...driving that thing through would be like trying to thread a needle with a freight train lol. Not saying one of you guys couldn't do it.....just saying its gonna take someone with more off road experience than I have to get her through without getting banged up :)

Good point. I think me and CBRMetalworks have come up with an interesting design for my 5 ton and I think that's what I'm going to do. So as long as the fall rally will be next september, I'll have one **** of a rig to show you guys!

And the first time you have to hump 5-ton parts around you will want your Deuce back.......

It's all a matter of perspective. The 939 series were given an automatic because kids couldn't drive a manual. I have an 813 and I do like the power steering. ;-)

Hello??? Am I invisible on here? You all just want me for my baked goods huh??
How about keeping it simple... same logo on the front as last year, deuce on the back with "Come Tread With Me" as the summer phrase....? I could draw up some intricate designs but don't really have the time to... as I've been working 6 days and 70/80 hours a week...

On a side note.... how does this sound, Bill and I were discussing the summer dinner preparations.. would ya'll like to do dinner on Friday and Saturday evening...? dinner the same on both nights... pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad.... since we have different tastes in barbecue sauce, we will have a couple of sauces available to add yourselves... dinner would be $5, kids $2 and toddlers free... B.Y.O.B... the cost is not per plate but for dinner..... please get back to us on dinner for both evenings because it will reflect on how much pork we need to buy.....
