I was shocked on how fast mine goes thought the fuel. Drive up to Skykomish and around Index and that's a half of tank. I haven't driven the LMTV much this year but just looked and filled it last September and it still have over 1/2 a tank... and it's been on the same Sunday drive a few time since. Granted the tank is twice as big as the my HMMWV.It seems like it's all over the place. I suppose it's because I'm not stopping the pump at the same place every time.

That last time I read my TM it said Dexron III, which is near impossible to find. After asking others here, I have been using DexMerc without any noticeable issue.Hello everyone. I just changed oil and greased the M1097R. But I have a question I’m sure it was brought up before, But I’m looking through the TM’s and I can’t seem to find the ones for the M1097R, So I have been following the M998 one. My question is I’m getting ready to change the transmission fluid transfer case. The TM shows Dexron 2 which I know to use what GM calls for now to use for that. But online I’m seeing not to use Dextron but to use AC Delco 10-4033 in the transfer case on the M1097R . Am I safe to follow the old M998 Dextron or switch. Thank you
The M1097R is a recapitalization program truck, upgraded from a different version into a heavy variant. Not an actual factory variant of the truck.Hello everyone.
