I am very happy to say that Rob from the AMVCC club was able to order and surprise me with a couple of size medium Arizona Military Vehicle Collectors Club t-shirts. As a (less robust) Arizona native, I will be proud to wear these shirts around the Pacific Northwest, and look forward to the...
Rob,
Thank you, both for the clarification and explanations. It is good news that you will be ordering shirts that I can wear. I am from Mesa and would love to "promote" your club by wearing Arizona clothing up here in Washington. I would gladly purchase shirts when they come available. Again...
.......So the XXXL (round, not scary) guy in the t-shirt booth made up the whole "Hooters girls giving away the four medium shirts to kids" at noon story, instead of just saying sold out??! W.T.F?
I have to agree with Welder Sam on this event. I am from Washington and was in Vegas for the Shot Show, which made it easy to detour to Phoenix before heading home. Pretty small show, and unlike most past pics of the event I have seen, there were no tanks to look at. I would probably attend if I...
Alcoholic beverages are not only authorized, but encouraged.........AFTER the show closes to the public each evening. What do you think is in those red cups we are holding in Jeffs pic at the top of this page!!??...that explains why we are wearing the protective safety gear, i.e. helmets...
I am working with a friend on finding a backhaul from Washington State south to Oregon or California. He can be flexible on times/dates and I think he will have a 40' flatbed trailer up here this time. PM me
Hey,
How about a remote port where a guy could pressurize a large volume tank from say, his shop compressor on startup so it does not take absolutely forever to have brakes and/or control valves so you can isolate the large tank and only introduce its volume to the system when needed...
Welcome to you in SD. I have been seeing a gal in Rapid for a year or so and have been back there a number of times (including a couple of weeks ago)already and have seen some great potential projects around that area....in fields, barns ,etc. I am still looking for an elusive halftrack...
Corey,
Yep same guy and now a good friend of mine. I bought that truck in order to get it into the hands of a collector and it ended up going to another friend in British Columbia who had been looking for that exact and very rare truck for years and is going to restore it as a radio truck. Very...
Corey,
I have to ask because that truck in your avatar looks very familiar, did you sell it to a guy named Barry? He had it up here in Skagit Valley for a few years if so.
Can someone measure the inside and outside diameter on an axle boot for the M35. I am curious how close they come to the axle boots on my halftrack, as I would love to use new manufacture one piece boots as I put the front end back together. Anyone know if they could/would work? Thanks, Don
I bought all new unbent lines with the wire wrap from NAPA last winter. They came in approximately four foot lengths. You will need the flaring tool and at least a couple of different types of benders. Use a single strand of 12 ga copper wire to bend up a pattern of where you want the lines to...
I learned a bit of trivia in my own search that may help others. The elusive "proper" u-bolts that we all have to hunt for came installed (just to fill the otherwise empty holes) in the back panel of many Canadian M211 / M135s. I have also seen them on some of the US trucks. I just collected...
