Hey guys, rebuilding my 2nd alternator, first time I got the rebuild parts from cucv electric, this time I got them from ASP wholesale and there is a part that I am not sure of what it is or where it goes as the one I am rebuilding didn't seem to have it. Any ideas.

As warthog said might of happened, I think somebody had been inside of it before me and possibly added a washer as well as not put in the resistor because when I went back and checked mine with the rebuild instructions I had it correct. I was even worried so I took it to oriely's to have it...

Yes, there were 3 white ones and I have 2 under the big metal piece the diode connects to but don't know where the 3 rd goes

The black ones are the ones that came out, Which they are a little thicker, the white one is the one left. Also, what is the 2 tab metal piece as there was not one that came out
