I miss that ol' XM-211. Someone got a heck of a deal when I had to sell it in a hurry for $800 (made sure it was more than scrap price at the time). All she needed was the 12 new wheel cylinders sitting in the floor board installed and she was road worthy.
I'm in Texas now and want to find...
Anyone coming from the Seattle area, passing through the Vegas area on their way to Haspin... AND (1) hasn't left yet; (2) wants some gas money; and (3) has room for two front fenders for a 1937 Hudson-Terraplane [about 7 ft long x 4 ft wide x 3 ft high for the pair if you place them opposite...
I was having a conversation elsewhere on this site and came up with another question. The 6.2L intake manifolds on the HMMWV's are lower profile, correct? How do the diesels react to the profile of the intake manifold? I recall on my Chevy 350's and 400's in the past that I always swapped out...
Is there a difference between the HMMWV trans and the 700R4? The guy I bought the truck from did the engine swap... and after further investigation of his mechanical abilities on this truck... Who knows where this truck really came from, but he did say it was from an "old military truck" and...
My civy did the same thing a couple months ago. Luckily it was just the pink wire on the IP falling off/coming unplugged. Found out that wire goes to the fuel shut off inside the IP, so the IP literally thought I had the key turned off.
This seems to be an appropriate thread to post this question in...
Did they have a crew cab CUCV? (84-87) If so, what was its designation ( M10?8 )? And were the Suburbans just civy suburbans with a new coat of paint and a 24v converter? Or were they the same heavy duty suspension as the M10x8...
A pickle fork tends to tear the rubber boots on ball joints and tie rod ends. And never smack the threaded end of either if you plan on reusing them unless you thread the nut back on by hand to break it loose... You risk distorting the threads.
I usually pull the nut off and smack the side of...
That's a GMC M211 series. I have a 52 out my front door. The bed is a custom fab on that. The engine, transmission, and transfer case are not correct. Look and see if the front driveshaft is hooked up if it is in fact a two speed transfer case. I am betting that either the front driveshaft is...
Postponed, possibly until after June 10. If you have a load needing to go somewhere from Northeast Ohio... Let me know, and we can work something out. Schedule is all over the place, won't go into details, but we can make it up as we go along on a case by case basis.
What is your time frame for having this moved? I travel between Central Illinois and North East Ohio quite a bit. But I just got into Ohio from Illinois a couple days ago.
I thought Propane Injection had cleaning, mileage, and performance benefits, as well as being necessary on any diesel if Nitrous Oxide was intended to be used? Could you elaborate on your reasoning for staying away from the Propane?
I am interested on this too, particularly some of the...
I to am a fan of the Cummins BT's, but this thread is about what CAN be done to the 6.2L GM Diesels to improve on their design. Most people, instead, do as you suggested, keep the 6.2L stock, or pitch it to the curb for a transplant. That reasoning alone is one of the main reasons I started this...
Load canceled due to member's location for work related issues, to be rescheduled if possible for a later trip.
Flat bed empty. Loaded trailer. The load on the trailer is mine personally and can be rescheduled if someone needs a haul. I have more trips back and forth between Illinois and Ohio...
