I have my flap on my 802, and have considered just doing this anyway. I don’t have a warm fuzzy feeling about that flap. I’ve seen to many auction pocs of them flaps stuck open. Clearly a poor design if the flap occasionally has a chance to get stuck open.
I’d do as LITD says, just put a...
Congrats on a sweet machine. All you have to do now is.... get to painting!
I’m not a fan of desert sand, but the genset is seriously sweet. I just gave my 802 a quarterly load test yesterday. I’d like to tweek the droop juuust a bit, but it performed flawlessly. Enjoy.
Uhhhhhh.......huh?...
Man are you serious? You do realize it was a simple observation/comment/personal belief right? You shouldn't take some things so seriously. But i bet you have been told that many times before.
On this forum, we bounce thoughts and ideas off eachother, many times in...
Anyone else confused as to why one would bother using the aux adaptor on a 5 gal sceptor fuel can? I mean, if i have 5 gals of diesel in a sceptor fuel can, why wouldn't i just go ahead and pour it into the genset? I mean, maybe in wartime duress things are different, but i myself would never...
Just wanted to hop back in here and say ty to boatman69 again. My part came in 2 weeks ago. After removing the old well nut, i ran a piece of thin wire into the tank frommthe engine side and out the fill hole. Slipped the new brass fitting thru the wite, and it slid down the wire almost right...
Wow. Finally a real fix. Im sorry i couldnt find that myself.
SICK and tired of leaky well nuts. Ordered! $20.23 shipped and WELL worth it if it keeps my genset bone dry of leaky diesel!
Hello fellow members. I should have posted when i ran out, but i have been a very busy man. Unfortunately i have run out of well nuts. I have a couple on reserve for myself and a couple on reserve for a buddy who has intentions to get a mep-803a once he'd done remodelling a house he has yet to...
Two things.
VERY impressed with this info.
It's pretty useless as he tested with no thermostat which seriously sucks. Thats a lot of work and data keeping for a cold engine. I bet fuel efficiency increases dramatically at normal operating temps.
Still, a lot of work, great visuals, and fun to...
After having read this thread, i have decided to never purchase anything from govliq again. It sux as fort drum is within a reasonable 3 hour drive from me, and the drive is calming with great views.
Their poor and disrespectful attention to customer service has pushed me over the edge. It's...
This has got to be a gov liq thing. When i purchased my trailered mep-802a a couple years ago from govplanet at fort drum, the guy who met us was a tim, or ted, and he made sure i got the right genset, and even helped me plant the trailer on my pintle. He was great.
GOTTA be a govliq thing.
Sounds like samantha and the crooks at Ft Drum have quite the racket going. If you put two and two together, i bet someone bids on a very high hour parts genset, and pays off samantha and crew to sell them a low hour new unit for side cash.
Like the old addage goes, follow the money. Follow...
Good point. However, if i ever have to charge back a fee to a miserable company for screwing me, i will nwver do business with that company again. For those who may charge something back to GL due to the BS shennanigans they pull, i hope they would do the same.
If it gets to the point of a...
I don't know what you mean by aftermarket no name. I purchased them from a military supplier rerfered to me by a fellow member here. They are current manufacture, not old and cracked if thats what you mean. These are milspec parts.
The guys over at garagejournal mentioned a sale on a 5kw garage heater for $69 back in mid december. I jumped at the opportunity as i just purchased a new to me gorgeous South Bench 13" lathe, which i don't want sweating in my garage and rusting up.
Purchased around 12-16, delivered a few days...
Thanks guys. Yeah the trailer was a rental. Sunbelt rentals hydraulic platform trailer. It would have been impossible to bring home any other way for me. I don't have anything to pick it off my landscape trailer at home so this trailer was a lifesaver.
$78 a day.
It's an army version of a Clark C20B. Used only by the mechanicsburg army national guard and serviced and tested regularly per the stickers and markings on the forklift.
I playfully bid on and then unfortunately won this cute little forklift on govplanet about 10 days ago. $1050. She runs...
I recovered my mep-802a on the same trailer. M116. From fort drum to the albany area. 3.5 hours. The trailer was mint. Fresh tires, new axle grease in bearings.
However, the bearings ran hot after 30 minutes. I happened to bring a whole 'recovery kit' with me. Pancake compressor, homda eu2000i...
