Some yahoo in Fla. has them. I think a Ga. Redneck near Helen has some too!
How much are tubes and flaps for the 15.5 tires? Anyone have a source for 14.50R20's? they should be the same height as 1100's and run on a 10" rim.

I believe the pumps put out the same pressure. What you need to look at is the cylinder. The larger diameter the piston, the more the cyl. will lift at a given pressure.
You can use almost any commercial pump and hoist assy. The military stuff is just civvy stuff painted green in the case...
If you can find riveted wheels to cut in half, they are easier to get the centers out of then the fully welded ones. I would use welded wheels for the ones you were leaving the centers in.

Electric/hydraulic pump would be easier. Find an old 24 volt forklift in a scrap yard or GL and rob the parts/ Get the proper solenoid valves (if you can find an old stand up lift or reach lift they will already be there). Buy a hoist pendent, they are a nice size, and have 2-10 push...
You can use the 400Hz stuff for incandescent lights. I believe flourescents will digest it as well, and produce less hum and heat. If you are making DC, a 400Hz generator would be nice.
The military (at Albany Ga. ) uses a wash primer (dilute phosphoric acid) followed by a 2K high solids white high build primer. Then they top it with 2K waterborne CARC.
I have a junker you can have. This one is a "C" turbo, nothing in it is any good, including the center section.
PM me your addy and I'll get it out to you.

Are the shoes riveted or bonded? As long as you have 1/16" beyond the rivet surface or more, you are good for quite a while. If your bonded shoes are .125" or more at the thinnest part, you are also OK. However, if you want new shoes, KCGonzo always has them on E-Bay, I think they normally...
The towbar can be made in shop class. The hardest thing would be the lunette ring, and that could be machined out of a piece of really heavy wall pipe, or a piece of 1 1/2" plate. I would make it fixed for bumper towing a deuce, I would guess the only reason to extend it would be to use axle...
Some bases have to drain all fluids, so be prepared to fill everything up. Then again, you may throw in a pair of betteries and drive home. Wish you luck, if you need anything, just ask. There are members all over the country who will lend a hand.
RE: Trip to Shirley
I'll try to make it again, just to meet the ones of you I haven't already met. I'll have my little beercan truck, and can pull a 5x10 trailer if needed.
