    No Brake Lights

The GM Hydraboost system runs well over 2000 psi if I remember correctly. If you got a switch from one of the pickups with the hydraboost you should be OK.

353 IP Bulb - Where are they, Bulb Voltage Conversion Chart

Take the speedo out and clean the little windows on the side with a Q-tip. My deuce had the lexan lens covers, which had yellowed a good bit. I replaced the speedo and tach with the older units with the glass lenses, BIG DIFFERENCE! I have replaced almost all the gauges with the older units...

IT WORKS!!! M977 Crane with PICTURES!!!

Time to stretch the frame out to M36 length, just so you'll have room for a rear body! That Grove takes up a good deal more room than Bjorns Hiab, that's for sure.

    The PURPLE CAMO DEUCE

Take a deep breath, sit down, relax. Call your doctor, your meds are way too high. How could you even think that? If you are going to paint the deuce this way, the frame and wheels have to be the medium purple!

What's the secret for tightening the Deuce Park Brake cable?

Get a set of the ratcheting combination wrenches everyone has now. They are the cats posterior end for tight spots! I wish they had been around years ago when I was twisting wrenches for a living! They come in short, long, standard, and metric.

    Crappy Deuce story

My wife tolerates my deuce. She refuses to ride in it, but she will tolerate it. She did put her foot down a couple of weeks ago, a parts deuce, an M105 trailer, and an extra M105 body all showed up in a 2 week period. She told me "no more, at least until some of this stuff gets disposed of."...

    2 1/2 and 5 ton injector swap

Just a question, did anyone else but the military use the Herc Multifuel? I have only seen them in miltrucks and a generator or two. I too am curious about the failure mode, I have seen quite a few with a pitched rod, have one in a parts truck right now.

Paging Dr. Foster or Ken Engle!

Notice all have the intermediate driveshafts and motor mounts. Just about has to be ESP conversion leftovers.

    Deuce TM cd from RDM

All Anyone who has my CD, this is free info. I only burn them as a service for members, I charge just enough to pay mailing costs and materials. Anyone can copy them to give to friends and neighbors. I am normally slow getting them out, sorry!!!!!

Can you borrow a turbo to swap and see if that fixes things?

    M model?

You can use the key to turn the ignition on, then use a pushbutton to engage the starter. That gives you the pushbutton you want, and the security of a key. If I get down that way anytime soon, I'll take you up on the offer of a brewski, as long as it is the NA type (a long ago promise to my...

    M model?

Darn, I was in Albany yesterday, I could have dropped by and pulled the wheel. Very easy job. You can buy the puller for around 10 bux at any parts store that sells custom steering wheels.

Mushroom size deuce vs. 5 ton

Anyone know the size of the 5 ton Cummins air filter mushroom? I am curious if it is bigger than the deuce unit. Just a wild idea, maybe put on a bigger mushroom, mounted vertical. That would involve opening up the air filter canister to accept a bigger elbow than standard. I figure if I am...

    Vertical Air Intake

Is that a 4" exhaust elbow? That is one of my gripes about the deuce design, it is hard to get to the dipstick without opening the entire hood.

OK. I remember that truck now. I believe it was on E-Bay at one time. You did a terrific job on the restoration.

Just out of curiosity, why are the air tanks relocated? Dump conversion?

    Pix of my Super Singles

Making wheel spacers would be simple enough. A piece of 3" plate, turned and bored. 12 holes, 6 for recessed lug nuts, 6 for studs. You can also cut the wheel centers out and move them 3 inches back and weld them back in. There are any number of ways to change the look of the rear of the...

    Pix of my Super Singles

Of course, you can narrow down a deuce bed as well....... Easier and cheaper than axle mods, I would think. The bed would be closer to cab width as well. That would help the looks as well.
