Looks sweet, but I would tie that mount into the D ring tubes at the frame. Hate to see you turn that brush guard and winch into a missile when if you really have to pull on it hard.

If the "new" axle made grinding noises and locked up within a mile, I doubt it was from lack of oil. Also, don't count on being able to add oil to it, and it having it be all "ok". Noises and grinding in a rear end will take a rebuild to fix it.

Unhook the motor, and test it. Does it use start capacitors? Could be a blown capacitor. Or use a meter and check the windings. A good motor repair shop should be able to put new windings in it. If you are not comfortable with this, you can probably take it to an electric motor repair shop...
