    Gigantic towbar

I'm not sure what it is for, but it is huge. The lunette will fit a truck pintle, and it looks like the large towbar on Steroids.

    Gigantic towbar

Well, I picked up the large truck towbar I bought. The seller was going to a Al. Forestry Auction near Montgomery and I met him there and picked it up. Well, two full grown men grunted and wheezed and picked up one end. I seem to have bought an M-60 tank towbar. The pins are about 1 1/2"...

    Bobbed Deuce update

Cole How close is the M-105 body to the cab? My rough measurements made it appear there would be about 10" . Good looking truck!

    The Thrill of Dissapointment II

I could use as many as 6. That will give me enough to do a full set of singles. Heck, I'll take all I can get. They don't seem to be much in demand. We might be able to work a deal on Red. I can drag it to my place, then drag it down to NW Fla. when i go to visit my folks. They are around I10 in...

Heated fuel tank project, biodiesel, WVO..

If the leak is accessible from the outside of the tank, solder it up with a big soldering copper.

    The Thrill of Dissapointment II

Kenny Mount an electric motor to your wrecker pump. Anyone know what the PTO RPM is? I'll be in Montgomery tomorrow picking up a deuce chassis after I get done at the Al. Forestry auction. I'll be moving "Ol Red" to Bruce's other house while I'm there.

Has Anyone put ten 1100 x20 tires on a deuce ??

Ask Bjorn about 1100 NDT singles, that's what he runs. I personally like my radials, and I don't mind the wheel stance. The wheels like Bjorn has widen the track 3-4" I believe. I might eventually go to the 12.50 R20's, in which case I will widen a set of stock rims about 3-3.5" to fit the...

    painting a fuel tank

Sorry guys, I haven't been checking out the paint section. I would use a caustic cleanser (rad. shop) to clean out the tank. Muriatic inside a tank can work on the seams. If the tank is really rusty, there is a tank sealer you can get at motorcycle shops for the old metal tanks. I have also...

Has Anyone put ten 1100 x20 tires on a deuce ??

I have the 1100 R 20 singles on standard wheels. At 2500 RPM it shows about 61 MPH. I very seldom go above 2100 RPM, it just drives better at that speed (right at the torque peak). When I was at Kennesaw, I noticed almost all the ANG deuces were singled, on stock wheels.

    Replay on wiper numbers

I was told by a vendor at the Kennesaw show that the M37 and M35 use the same windshield assemblies. He was selling new, Taiwanese windshields for $150, complete with metal and rubber.

    Its Alive! Its Alive!

All When start in a gasser that has been sitting for years... Mix up 5 gallons of gas with a can of outboard motor oil. 16:1 is the mix you want. Run that through. Clean the plugs. Run a batch of 32:1. Clean plugs. Now, go to 1 can per tank for a while. The OB oil will lube rings, valves, etc...

And if I'll ever get off my butt and finish everything..... I'll be shipping them out.

    Its Alive! Its Alive!

Kenny You probably had some rust on the valves and it worked its way into the guides. Take some parachute cord (15-25') and feed it into the spark plug hole while the piston is down. Roll the engine by hand until the piston pushes the valve back up. Or, take two flat nail pulling bars and put...

    Call me Mr M108

Kenny How bad is the cab and front sheetmetal? I would imagine fairly rusty from sitting in Fla. for many years.

Heated fuel tank project, biodiesel, WVO..

Bjorn Look for a pneumatically actuated 3 way valve. Since deuces have an air system, why not? I would look for ones that are single acting, spring return. Set them up to default (via spring) to the diesel side. That way, you would always start on diesel if your air tank was unpressurized. You...

    M135 wheels on a m35?

If I remember correctly, the M-135 ran singles. The wheels are not offset as much as dual wheels. This looks better if you are singling out your deuce. Otherwise, they look slightly odd.

And I wonder why the neighbors look at me funny?!?

My neighbor loves my deuce. He is a disabled WW2 vet. I get a lot of waves while driving. The other day 4 college girls flashed me as they passed me on the 4-lane!! Now that's real support!!

    Pics of Super Singles

I am planning on trying to find some of the old M135 wheels for my truck. They have the correct offset for singles, and will run fine with my 1100 R 20's.
