Does anybody happen to have a pic of what the shims that go between the IP and block look like? My Genset had the IP right up to the block. I've read how to determine the timing via measurements, but I dont know what the shape of the shims are. Thanks for the help.
Does anybody have any idea what kind of genny this is? I just won it on GL today and have no idea what kind it is, but it looks cool. The pics are from GL.
:funny:
Unfortunatly there is no real way to answer, not knowing how the truck is REwired. Sorry. Westech hit the nail right on the head with tracing out the wires.
I think I have a pic of the ballast part # in my album. Grainger has that style for 305.25 apiece:twisted: w/out the housing.

Thats why I got a used one first. I bought new because I am getting tired of changing the darn thing.

I would take a putty knife and rub the crack. If it is just a paint crack the paint will flake off. I would assume it would leak it there were that many cracks.
My first IP head was leaking pretty badly at the lines on the hydraulic head. So I went to the junkyard found a decent looking one and changed it out. That solved the leaking but caused the motor not to idle below 1000 rpm. Then I bought a new one from china, installed it and now it wont start...
