Someone has new cargo covers for the M-35 for $225. This includes the end curtains.
I am not connected with this, but looks like a good deal.

If you have a high speed line, you can download the manuals from the govt website. If you don't, send me your snail mail address and I'll burn you a CD of all the pertinant manuals and get it out to you.
The long wheel base definately points to the M-36 series chassis. It should have a sprag type transfer case. I have the manuals for the truck, everything except the gas engine.
Look at this truck on E-Bay. I thought it had already sold. This would be a really nice first truck, by the look of it. Already has a Ga. title as well.
I am not in anyway connected to the seller, just looks like a nice deal.
If you bought it, you could catch an Airtran flight down and drive...
There was a nice looking deuce on E-Bay this week, went for less than $3000. It was here in Ga., nice road trip!
Seriously, titles are easy here in Ga. Mine was $18. Tag $20. Insurance less than $200/year. Look for one that an individual has owned for a while, and has registered in his state of...
I am looking for a power divider that will work on a deuce. The problem is, most trucks have it built into the front differential. Possibly some of the Macks that have the Rockwell style diffs could donate some parts.
I am leaning more towards an air actuated driveshaft clutch for the interaxle...
There are kits available in the Shotgun News to make up replicas. they are usually made up of DeMil and condemned military parts, and a dummy receiver. They are not as cheap as the resin guns, although I have seem=n 30 calibers for around $350. they look and feel like the real thing, but have no...
Remember, these trucks were set up for long, narrow engines. V types can be made to fit, but steering issues crop up. A 6-71 with a 13 speed would be about right. Spicergear put a 3208 cat in his, I believe he offset the motor about an inch to barely clear the steering.

Look in your yellow pages for an industrial cleaning service with a 10 KPSI or bigger pressure washer. It will strip the paint buildup off a lot quicker and safer than the chemical strippers. Should be cheaper as well. I have access to 10KPSI all the way to 50KPSI units at work. The 10K...

Before you head up this way, let me know. I'll make arrangements to burn a few comp days. We can pick up the deuce, flat tow it to my place, then get it up on the 5th wheel. I am looking for some damaged deuce wheels to use for a widening project. If you have any with cracked centers or...
Another trick from my dumptruck days: When matching tires, put the taller ones on the right side. We always set up dumpers that way, keeps the truck slightly more level on the typical road surface, since they slope off to the right side. Don't know if it really makes a difference, but that was...
I knocked out a quickie towbar. It is a little less than 6' long. The legs are 1.5x1.5x.125 square tubing. The lunette ring was a piece of 1" wall pipe that i chucked in the lathe and rounded off the edges. The ring is welded to a piece of .75" plate that was in the scrap heap. I made a pair of...
I have noticed that I spin my middle tires. I already put my rear axle shaft back in. It helps the turning, reduced vibration a little, but didn't really help my highway driving. I don't have too much city driving, so it wasn't a help to me.
