Rideni,
Let's leave the politics out of this thread, and stick to the original intent: To remember a great friend that was taken before his time.
My thoughts and prayers have been, and will be, with the families of all of those involved.
Thanks,
Dave
The M109 I just picked up is leaking at the IP head too. It looks like the leak is under the connector from the head to the lines to the individual injectors.
Cattlerepairman,
When you say "brass inserts for air lines" are you talking about the poly lines for the return fuel?
I think the OP...
KsM715,
I wouldnt see any problems with a "buy it now" link posted above.
Those are more like classified adds than anything, right? It is definitely not an auction, and I am assuming the OP is not the seller.
What rule is that breaking? :?
Dave
I tend to check MILITARY INFORMATION HQ (www.olive-drab.com) any time I have a question of "what is this MXXX?" or "Did they ever make an extra long bed 10 ten?" type questions.
So, out of habit, I checked the g-742 page (thats the family name for the 2.5 ton "M35A2 Class"). That page shows...
Michelle,
Whats the total up to?
Any chance you can continuously update your first post to add the totals? I kinda like the way maddawg308 did it here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/58055-steel-soldiers-reserve-transportation-corps.html
Just a thought...
Dave
Thanks for the pull! We didn't get a chance to catch your name after the recovery, too much going on I guess...
I think what popped your shear pin was the running the chain into the drum. Your cable man (I wonder who that was... THIS GUY!) missed the fact that the cable was getting...
BadMastard,
I have had good luck with using google to search steelsoldiers. I do it like this:
"XXXXXX site:steelsoldiers.com"
This gives you a little bit more flexibility to preview the pages and flip through a dozen or so at a time.
That worked up until a couple weeks ago when the...

'OUCH!' is an understatement!
I learned the same thing my first time at Haspin (even though it wasn't SS weekend).
I must have missed the paragraph in the operator's manual that warned of "thumb removal"
Dave
Gimp,
They had the truck at camp, with the broken box out this morning about 10 AM. He said he had a whole new box coming from Cincinnati off another truck.
What time did you guys get him towed back to the camp? We hit the sack about midnight and hadn't heard a peep yet.
Dave
I may be bringin 4 M1009 Rims. Three green and one black.
If anyone is interested PM me for more info!
If no one is interested I will leave them at the house!
Thanks,
Dave
SS Members!
I am looking for a medium tow bar, and will likely need it shortly after Haspin. Does anyone attending have one for sale, or rent (with reasonable deposit of course...)?
I have found a couple heavy tow bars, that will work in a pinch, but would like to find a medium to purchase...
Todd,
Those are some good lookers. Congrats!
I have been hearing that the EUC Fairy has been working rather speedily lately.... I had better get my gear together for my recovery too!
Dave
Jim,
I tried adding the whole TM SS didn't like it (file size too large!)
Chapter 5 page 62 ( pdf page 692 ) should be what you are after; so I screen shotted it and added it for you.
If you want / need the whole engine assembly TM, PM me your email. I can send it over!
Sorry I can't help...
