19.5s are way more common in the MDT world then 20s. Tons of tire choices, just moat are road tread and have good weight ratings. Would be great for trailers that use the 6 lug and want somthing besides 900s.
Took my front end apart today. Replaced wheel bearings, axle seals and the boot. Accidentally screwed up one of the seals, so the passenger side will be done next weekend. Went to drain the dff and it was **** near empty, Was pleasantly surprised that my front end is the newer UJoint style tho...
Did you put an dynamic balancer in the tires?. If not put in aprox 20 ounces (airsoft BBs work) ans try a drive test. These tires are so huge that 1/4 in of deflection is proportional to what a small passenger tire has. I have a feeling you bought a new set of tires and will.experiance the same...
I done broked my truck =(. Both front axle seals let go and the boots torn. Had the starter stick on on sunday. After liberal use of a hammer i got it to shut off. Have the parts to rebuild the front end but I think I'm in the market for a new starter.
I had a long conversation with a lady from ODOT and we couldnt find anything that required a CDL for non commercial use. Every regulation we she pulled up had the word "for Commerce" or "commercial." While we couldnt find anything that required a CDL, we also couldn't find anything that...
Ive taken my truck through many bogs events, and just out in open fields. I would really recommended that where ever you go there is a decent sized trackhoe or dozer. If your sitting on axles a 1ton probably wont budge it. The biggest issue I notice with mil trucks that no one ever airs down the...
Heh. With the new 395s on my truck, my truck hits 1200 deg doing 55-60 on the flats now. I really need an LDS aua. Keeping it pinned it wont get abover 1250ish, but soons I hit a even a mild downhill, temps drop back down to 1000ish like with stocker tires.
If I had known ya where going ed. I woulda let ya borrow my roof. Ive been running around converabilized for the last few weeks. Glad ya finally got er home.
Firstly its "Deuce".
Second it comes down to multifuel with a manual or diesel only with an auto and expensive if the trans or motor go. Other then the sheetmetal and ctis most any thing can be upgraded on the a2 to a3. A2s are cheaper and there is alot of posts regarding this. In the upper...
Im guessing your talking about making m1008/m1028. Would probably be cheaper and easier to swap out the diffs for a 3.73 gear. Im sure there are people who would trade him straight across for the 4.56s.
If the brakes aren't dragging , then just unhook the airline and worry about when you get home. Just drive smart and you will be fine with out the 105 brakes.
Hey Al. Do they have a tech you have to pass?. Of is just get in and go. Only reaso. I ask is my truck drips a little. And if i do t grt the 395s on, there are some dry rot cracks on my rear tires.
Im just waiting for my rims to come back from the sandblaster so I can mount my 395s. I ended up buying 1200r20 tubes and know a few guys with that size that work fine. Normally about 45 ea.
Its possible, but I put lock washers on as mine didnt either. I torqued them to spec and everything. Maybe I had a bad run, idk, but having the receiver fall off the truck is not a good thing. Well worth the extra 10 bucks the fine thread and nylocs cost.
