I believe both Walker and Maremont have complete replacement systems available with mufflers for the 6.2L.
Or as another said, get a quote on a custom system from a muffler shop. That is one of the next things on my list.

Hi Nick
Should've pointed out that I sold the full set of racks/bows last fall to another member here. That photo was for clarification.
I am ready to sell the loose stakes and pockets but I'd rather do it thru ebay. I have no idea what a fair market value is plus I'm kinda uncomfortable...
Nick & mr. travo:
Please see attached photos. These parts came from an M101 or M101A1 3/4 ton trailer.
The 1st photo is of a full set of racks & bows assembled on the ground.
The 2nd is of a partial set of stakes.
I do not know the official nomenclature but seems to me the "stakes" are...
At the time, I had design control responsibility for o-rings. The pneumatic controller used a "floating piston" design sealed with o-rings to open and close the various air pathways.
With the "floating piston" there is an aluminum piston with an o-ring (acting as a piston ring) inside a...
Does that CAT transmission have a pneumatic shift mechanism?
I did a significant amount of work for the CAT transmission unit on a pneumatic controller for what was described to me as a military truck transmission.
These controllers were built by one man, in an small room in the corner of...
In my previous life as a truck stop tire monkey we used a short handled 10 lb sledge along with the tire maul aka "wedge hammer" to "break beads". Position the wedge hammer between the tire and rim then whack the flat end of the wedge hammer with the sledge. Repeat as required.
Saves a lot of...
My M1009 will not crank. I've done the troubleshooting and determined everything on the cabin side of the firewall is OK. I replaced the solenoid under the dash as insurance. and will do doghead's upgrade ASAP. I intended to replace the starter with a new gear drive unit on general principles...

Check the attached link to T-pub re: tire markings. It states that the OZ mark is for "Ozone Resistant".
Might be a DoD rather than commercial requirement.
I've learned something today - thanks.
TIRE MARKINGS AND CODES (Con't).
Your 1980 tires look great. I'd bet the...
I am not familar with the "OZ" marking. At Caterpillar we manufactured a lot of specialized rubber parts and none were marked this way.
Ozone, along with oxygen and ultraviolet light degrade and eventually destroy most types of ruber over time. Rubber formulations ("recipes") contain chemicals...
I'll resupply my deleted info regarding the Caterpillar/Martin Marietta Highly Mobile Missile (HML) DoD test vehicle and 5 ton truck halftracks.
HIGHLY MOBILE MISSILE LAUNCHER:
Caterpillar developed rubber tracks which were used on the CAT Challenger ag tractors and combines. In the early...
The other posters are correct. "Compression set" can permanently change the shape of a rubber part so it might have been a round cross section originally.
The wheel might be stamped with the manufacturer's name and part #. They could help.
Or go to a tire shop which works on bigger...
The best oil resistant silicone rubber is still inferior to materials designed to resist petroleum based fluids & lubes. The common fuel & oil resistant materials are:
1. Viton
2. Nitrile (aka Buna-N)
3. Neoprene is pretty good with low temp oil but at 200 deg F it will not live very long.
In...
I've never eyeballed Soviet track up close. Is it built such that a replacable pad could be bolted on?
At Caterpillar we made add on rubber grousers for use on D6 and D7 track type tractors used for agricultural apps. these bolted on the existing track shoes and stood higher than the grouser...
I just read an older govt report on T-142 (M-60) track pad testing. They were getting an average life of 2000 miles on pavement and 900 miles offroad at the Yuma proving grounds. Sounded like the main failure mode was cutting and chunking rather than wear.
I know of two ways to remove rubber...
Almost all of the common collected vehicles use either the endless band track (halftrack, weasel, Cletrac) or steel track with the rubber molded in (M5 Stuart, M5 High Speed tractor, Sherman).
I am not familiar with the "endless band" design. Didn't these vehicles have rubber track...
