I'm going to need to check the voltages on mine. My alt tested good, put the new N3207 regulator on and now have green lights flashing indicted a charge. Dash Gauge slightly in the green. After today's run on the hyw it pretty much stayed in the top part of yellow the with everything on or off...
So, got a few things dialed in and a buddy needed a hand hauling some logs for live edge slabs. First run on the hyw. Cruised up to a Seattle university and hauled 2 trips of 128 year old elm, and maple trees.
130miles over all
A little slow on the hills regardless if it's loaded or not. Over...
Since the TM's are for the lmtv, is there a service for the pivot on the rear spring to frame connection. I see a plug so I'm wondering if it takes a heavy oil since it's not a zerk?
Headed into the shop early and that's the last point I think I have to lube before getting the first load.
I'm just getting mine ready to use. Mine has had five steady lights since I got it. My truck hasn't been charging (new regulator coming today) I'm hopeful that it is a low voltage issue similar to how the transmission acts. I have a post with the question out titled "air over hydraulic and ctis...
What fluid are you running? How long since the service? I've had had a few that were soft shifters and ran Delo 15W40 in and it helped out. 1-2 soft was pretty stout, especially when cold. Maybe a lighter oil may help soften it up.
I'll check tomorrow. I recall 94 and delivered in 96 on the tag. Might be that it sat for a while before heading to service. Front drive line has a sticker. I'm going to grab the info off of them so I can reference it as I find more info
Hello all. Just finishing the fluid changes on the 94 M1090. The voltage regulator tested bad and looks like the new one will be here tomorrow. Hit it with the pressure washer and it's interesting to think of where all this dirt and rocks come from.
The steering knuckles seem to take quite a...
Good call. Rather than pulling both and having to prime that much more. I did mine yesterday and found my prime pump to be bad. I was able to crack the secondary bleeder and put a little compressed air to the tank and was able to get the flow needed.
I noticed the Cat service note says to run...
Note, this post ended up way longer than I anticipated and I will update some images tomorrow as I think others may also.
Also, Without diving to far in. Im new to forums, but if you dive in searching for info. and see multiple posts from a user, double check the items in their signature for...
M1090AO Showed up this morning. First military rig. Man am I glad i shipped it. Grabbed the truckers some coffee on the way to the shop and got after it to unload. Was hoping to jump it... But after a few tries with jump boxes/batteries and a charger. No success. Ran an air line from the shop...
I couldn't find much online, so I went to GP and looked through the sold units.
There is one w/o the bed. Might have an image that helps. I was looking to see the frame height. Looks to be just over the tires so I'm figuring roughly
55"
Looking at the frame without the bed, it looks like it isn't much taller than the tires. Removing the bed and maybe the container could go on the frame to get the extra height
Then a couple wheel well arches in the lower rail on the container.
How much travel height does the have suspension...
What is the bed height, and what is the frame height on these trucks? Maybe an option to use the container is by cutting the floor out and make it to the max height. Then you could notch the front of the can to go over the cab for storage and have roughly three feet off the rear.
Hmmmm? I was updated via email of the change
My EUC was filed on 4/8/2020
Just got updated to day 4/24/2020 under ECU Status it reads "Submitted to TSC, pending approval"
Hoping the next step wont be to long with everything going on.
New to the military rig world. Love the site and the TM's. Waiting for the release on a M1090 dump.... w/o doors. (who knows how long it will be with what's going on)
From reading some of the threads, looks like the doors are one of the many items that have there weight in gold.
Wondering if...
