Went to go pull out another vehicle, an f-150. Lets just say nothing went as planned. We ended up using a 9000 lb winch on a wrangler to pull out both trucks, after we strapped it to a tree. Its time for some new tires and a winch. On another note is the locker in the rear supposed to spin both...
Check your plug on top of the alternator, make sure it is actually making contact. I was having the same problem with my truck but with both alternators.
My gwn 1 light also never came on when the truck was running. I replaced both plugs on the alts. and the belts. now it works great. Hopefully this helps.

The suppressors are for electrical noise suppression, it is just a capacitor. If you are not running radios they are not needed. the truck will work just fine without it.
I finally had time to get back to the truck. I found that both of the plastic plugs that plug in to the top of the alts were bad. I replaced them with insulated spade connectors and 14.7 volts on each battery.
It is the same at the battery and the output stud. Both alternators have 12 volts on the little red wire between their respective ground, and both alts have the same voltage on their output studs when the engine is off. The only time things are different is when the truck is started, gen 1 stays...
I have a 1010 that was converted to a regular cucv setup by uncle sam. I noticed the driver side alternator is only running 12.3vdc when running, and the gen 1 light does not come on. the passenger side alt. is putting out 14.6 when running. I figured it was a bad alternator so I switched them...
I just talked to gl today about my sf-97 submitted on 15 sept. I got the usual "we have not received it, can you resubmit." :x They recomend getting in touch with them 24 hrs later to see if it was received. That would have been nice to know a month ago.

It looks alot like a zero instead of a G.
Firefighter294, the ones at Ontario surplus looks exactly like the one i've got. They seem way overengineered for three spotlights. but then again maybe it has a wind loading of 500mph  .
I submitted the online request on the 15th of september and still have not been charged for it. Either I am asking the impossible or this feature is not all it is hyped up to be. Has anybody received an sf-97 through this process?

White Alice was the communication system used in Alaska during the cold war. There were a couple different types of antennas. The one in the photo is a 60 foot tall parabolic reflector. Here is a link to the technical stuff and more pics(some even have mv's)...
