Oh, and one other thing about using trans fluid... It is fine to put a quart in a full tank every once in a while. But you would not want to run on straight trans fluid unless you are in a pinch.
There are too many additives and such that will cause issues in the cylinder when it gets burned...
Please... I have been running WVO for 5 years.... NO problems. As have thousands of others.
Yes you can do it but only do it with a separate heated system... no matter where you live. the WVO needs to be heated to change the viscosity so it will inject like diesel

Call a GMC Truck center... not the 4-wheel type trucks but the bigger ones... I went down to my local truck center and they looked up the part and had it in in about a week.

While removing the old radiator I could not detach the oil cooler lines from the radiator. So I detached them from the flexible part of the line... I was able to remove the lines but the nut on the line will not turn so I had to rotate the whole line.
I have soaked them in PB Blaster and...
Better than Sea Foam... get a can of Diesel purge... pull the intake and return lines from the pump (bypass the filter) and put them into the can... run the engine on Diesel Purge until the can is empty... vary the RPMs while doing this. It will clean the injectors and de-coke the engine very...
I am going to swap out my water pump and radiator and put in a block heater this weekend.
I looked at the TM...and didn't see anything special... but, is there anything that I need to know about this job? Any thing that will make it go easier or that I need to watch for?

I did this same install last July and for me, it was totally worth it. Granted, this is a totally subjective question/answer... but If I ever get another 6.2 diesel and I have the money, it will be getting a Banks turbo (if they still make them)

and then I found a diesel fuel filter with the same thread 3/4-16 in. I don't have the number handy but it is a $9 filter from Wix.
