Well I went and got an inspection sticker today, even with Antique plates it gets a Commercial Inspection due to the weight and as it's an '84 it also gets an Opacity Test, as in, no smoking please. Three snaps and it passed with flying colors, yipee, sticker on the glass and away we went.
Overall it's a very clean truck, 14K miles, 128 Hrs. It looks like it was recently refurbed as there are a lot of new hoses etc and the brake / turn signals have been upgraded to LED's in the rear.
The tool chest behind the cab if full of stuff, I need to empty it out, it even had the light to...

They hauled a M923 for me previously, very good guys and I found good rates.
The M936 cost $3,500 for approx. 1,500 miles.
I did look at driving it back to Boston, MA myself but fuel, trip down and lost work days ( I am self employed)...
Here are a few pic's of my M936 that I had hauled up from Hattiesburg, MS. Stealth night delivery in a lot close to my house, neighbours got a suprise when the sun came up!

I have Antique plates on my 5 Ton and insurance was not a problem BUT along with the policy it pretty much echoed word for word the MA regulations regarding Antique plated use:
An “antique motor car” is

This weekend took the 5 Ton to the Burlington, MA Truck Day which is an annual event. CrazyWelder took his Deuce.
Seems that kids just love our trucks and the back of mine easily beat out a bouncy house any day of the week! There were long lines to sit in both trucks and it was a lot of fun.
I don't have an A3 (plenty of other types with auto's) and dropping the pan and changing the internal filter does NOT drain the torque converter which can hold 1/3 to 1/2 of the total fluid capacity.
I suspect as you filled her up, filter and lines will purge and very quickly it's FULL.
My...
Also, I am not sure these are road legal in MA and a trailer is a must regardless. I have a few candidates as a tow truck, the H1 is probably too light so the Deuce or one of the 5 Tons should be up to the task. Stopping is always the hard part!
