    Scorpion's first Parade

I took the Scorpion to the Lexington, MA Patriots Day parade today along with my trucks. First time pulling the trailer and tank with the 5 Ton. Those hill climbs are certainly interesting!

I need a set of fiber glass troop seats and headboard for a Deuce, or enough fiber glass slates to do the job.

M939 transfer case air lines installed wrong

If you are asking about transmission damage, the torque exerted in low range reverse exceeds the design parameters, if you are very careful and don't goose the gas you MAY be ok but if in doubt, don't do it. If you do a search there are pictures of destoryed parts.

    ...towing a tank?

My Scorpion weighs about 18,000lbs, my 12-Ton Tilt Trailer has a GVWR of 29,500 (trailer weighs about 7,500lbs) and I am pulling that with a M923 (rated at 30,000lbs on road.) And in MA I don't need a CDL.

    M35A2 Registarion in Connecticut

The MA rules are not that restrictive: An “antique motor car” is any motor vehicle over twenty-five years old maintained solely for use in exhibitions, club activities, parades, and other functions of public interest. This includes test drives to prepare for such functions and transportation to...

    Air Actuated Brake Controller

I am about to fit one of these to my M923, http://www.hayesbc.com/?page_id=1065, has anyone else here on SS used one of these before. I plan on teeing off the gland hand to feed this along with a 24V to 12V converter in the cab. I have also built a 24V to 12V converter for the trailer lights.

Finally parked the Scorpion in the Garage.

I didn't have a guide man so forward in was the best bet, I only have about 9" to spare, the rear bin and jerry cans overhang quite a bit.

Finally parked the Scorpion in the Garage.

Used the nice weather to enlarge the garage door so the Scorpion would fit, just room to squeeze in the space

found some tanks in the weeds today

If they are outside and not covered there is a high possibility that they have lots of water in them, if you get a chance pictures would be great.

found some tanks in the weeds today

All the rebuilders are in the UK and few and far between, most people try and find a 'good' takeout but that is a gamble at best. I have a Scorpion and have enquired.

    My Scorpion

The one on the KI site is up fpr 90K, for that, I could nearly buy 2 for what I paid. It came from a private collector who purchased it via a dealer in the UK. Here it is on their site before it was sold Humber Pig It's pretty much as you see it in the pictures, been in storage and...

Actuator, Air Fan Clutch for M923a1

Both my M923 and M936 make that noise at the air intake stack when I shutdown the truck. Figured it was normal (still do) and it's something venting out.

    M925 m923 brake types?

Check your States rules regarding private and personnal use, I have an M923 and a M936 and in MA I do not need a CDL if its used as a 'recreational vehicle' as in not used for business. Having Antique plates helps as well. YMMV.

    Insurance situation is crazy!

:ditto: Thats why I use an agent who knows exactly what I have, his seen pictures of all my trucks and we are in full disclosure. I am sure if the GEICO application asked for GVWR you would be toast!
