I have a new set of track, road wheels etc. and a recon J60 engine to bring in, it's all in Canada right now as a stop off point from the UK, I hitched a ride in someones container.
Right now the thought is rail due to number of vehicles, weight, size, cost etc. I think a Tiger weighs in around 62 tons.
There is a rail terminal in Ayer, MA, which is close to Stow that is a possibility, used to be used to supply Fort Devens I believe.
I have a few Form-6's that I am waiting on, I had heard that these are taking 3 months now due to staff shortages and the 3 week shutdown impact, anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks,
Martin.
I tried to register my Scorpion here in MA but they don't allow fully tracked vehicles. I do drive it around various towns for parades and shows, kinda turns heads as you motor up to the stop light next to the Prius!
My fan clutch never disengages and I have checked the shutter stat for proper operation. I found a NOS fan clutch online so will swap out the bad one when that arrives. I did find this manual which gives a very good explanation and servicing details for those interested.

He has hauled 6 trucks for me, M923's, M936, M915A1 and my Scorpion Tank.
He is very competitive, mention my name and that you are an SS member.
I recently purchased an M915A1 and have been looking at what likely spares I may need outside of the usual consumables as in filters etc.
One area that appears in many threads is that the electrical setup in these vehicles is not the most robust being a 24V / 12V system. The 100A alternator is...
I have an Econoline MP2512TE with electric brakes, pintle hook on highest level on trailer worked out perfectly. Had to build a 24v to 12v converter for the lights / brakes, used air to electric brake controller made by Hayes. Never had an inspection problem, trucks pass opacity emission test...
It certainly was a great show to be sure. I have to thank Matt and Stacey for running support behind me for the trip. Starring at the Scorpion for 7 hours each way must have gotten very boring. My butt is still numb from the roughly 550 mile round trip! I have to say the 5 Ton did it's job even...
As others have stated, its very State specific, do your home work as I did http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?88358-MA-5-Ton-CDL-MA-RMV and yes this only applies to MA as I live in MA, I carry a copy of the regulations in my M923 and M936.
