    Who owns a M101?

86humv just curious how the recovery went? Were the GL folks at Herlong helpful and easy to work with? Also I noticed most of the trailers in that event had the H7 classification. Did they seem to be in working order?

    To lift a M1009

The 6.2L diesel should be lighter than a Big Block Chevy gasser. I used Tuff Country HD springs on the front of my M1008 which had a higher spring rate.

Pic thread? Looking for m1008's with minimal lift.

Here's some pictures of my M1008 with a 4" lift and 35" tires. Everything looked very proportional and the tire tread pattern went well keeping it military.

    Who owns a M101?

86humv would you mind checking on the condition of my lots while you are at Herlong? I bid without making it up there to preview and am relying on GL's pictures

    Who owns a M101?

Which Lots did you win? I too won 3 M101A2s in the Herlong auction and am trying to figure out how to get them home. I have a 21ft trailer that I think I can fit all three on by slanting them all. When are you going for recovery? I'm still waiting on my EUC to clear and seeing as it's my...

    M101 back landing legg

I was under the impression that the M101's came with the rear leg already. The TM shows it and mentions it a few times. The rear legs were supposed to be put down to keep the trailer stable when it had a generator mounted on it. I could be totally wrong with this, but that was the impression...

    m101 Axle

TailDragger, when you went with the new solid axles did you not use brakes? Has anyone here bought a new axle and used the original hubs/brakes from their M101A2's? I may upgrade the trailer I keep to a stronger axle, but would like to keep the hydraulic brakes.

    m101 Axle

I've seen the pics of the one loaded with logs, but I thought that was after an axle swap. Yeah I lucked out, two looked free of any dents, etc. but were just the box, and one has a few dents along the upper front edge of the box, but also has the lattice sides. so I will be swapping the sides...

    m101 Axle

I know what the TM states for towing capacity and weights, but from your experience how much weight can the M101 hold? I just bought three A2's from GL with the intention to haul firewood. I was hoping to get a cord of wood (approx 3k-4k#) but based on the TM's load rating of 2250#. Does the...

front leaf spring sizes? searched already

I had a M1008 so i cant give the specifics for the 09 but i'm almost positive that if you find springs for a K5 blazer with a 6.2L diesel you will be set. frames and axles are all the same. When i did a inch lift i used tuff country HD springs that I think were 3/4ton but i can't remember its...

front leaf spring sizes? searched already

Just look for springs for a K5 blazer if you have the M1009. It's the same truck. M1009 is just a 3/4T blazer

Help identifying. MEP-003A listed as 002A on GL

With everyone seeming to be on the Eastcoast, I wasn't too concerned. And I've already let this lot pass by. They'll be more. So for now I'm just gathering information

Help identifying. MEP-003A listed as 002A on GL

didn't mean to break any rules. was simply trying to get some clarification. but my question still stands, has anyone removed the engines and used them for any kind of off highway utility vehicle. I was thinking it might be cool to take one of these smaller diesels and make a scaled down...

off topic from original post, but has anyone removed the engines and used them for something other than the generator?

Help identifying. MEP-003A listed as 002A on GL

I am looking into buying a generator from GL. The current auction has two MEP-003As with 2k+ hrs and a few MEP-002As for sale. one of the generators listed as an 002A has 2 exhaust pipes just like a MEP-003A would have. Is there a way to visually tell? It has zero hours on the meter so it...
