    Power steering for the Deuce?

Gerhard : Not to be too dumb but I am getting ready to order some of this stuff - are you saying ANY of the HF54050 steering gears should work with the multifuel PS pump ? In other words, are any of the 4 HF54050s that you listed above that would NOT have worked in your PS conversion you...

West Coast/Mtn States Source for Big Deuce Tires

I see a lot of guys in the east seem to have good sources for the big tires on the Deuce. I know Hundy has some down in CA, but I was looking for a source closer to the Pacific Northwest, and someone who might have the 14.5R20 or 365/80R20 tires that would go on the M35A3 wheels ? Any places...

    Power steering for the Deuce?

Don't know if this was mentioned before - Gringeltaube has done the most interesting PS work I've seen here : http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?2909-deuce-power-steering-conversion.html#post22582 Page 3 has a contact for the HF54s. I can't find the thread but I thought the 5 ton PS...

    Bobbing an 818

I was thinking about doing this with a Deuce. Anybody have opinions on doing this on the smaller truck ? And another idea (for both Deuce and 5 ton) - how about taking the rear springs, flipping them upside down and taking a few leafs out ? Seems to me that would work as well - springs are...

    Deuce tanker question

Thanks Jatonka - that's an interesting truck, but I'm about 3000 miles away so out of my range.

Late Model USAF Contract M35A2C Spotters Guide

It seems to me ALL of the 1987-89 M35's were built for the USAF. Is that true ?

    Deuce tanker question

What would be the difference between the M50A2 and the M49A2C - aluminium (as the Aussies say) vs. stainless ? Or is there some other features ? And Jatonka what kind of price are you looking for ? And finally, is there any reason you couldn't transplant the tanker bed to a regular M35A2 from...

Late Model USAF Contract M35A2C Spotters Guide

I've got a guy selling a Deuce that might have a split brake system in it - of course he isn't really familiar with the truck at all. Can someone tell me the fastest way to explain to him how to determine if the truck has the split brake system or not ? I remember there was a thread that showed...

    Deuce tanker question

I now this is an old thread but did anyone ever call to see what the price is on this truck or buy it ?

    Dieselcraft OC-50

So you are filling the 55 gallon drum, then pumping from the bottom thru the centrifuge + filter and right back into the top of the 55 gallon drum ? My understanding is that you need to filter this WMO 4 to 5 times to get best results - seems to me you would be better off using two or more...

    Transplanting the MultiFuel ?

Has anyone here transplanted a multi-fuel engine into another truck (or heard of it being done ?) Would the engine/transmission combo have any unique features that would prevent it from being used in another vehicle ? Anyone know the weight of the LDT/LDS engines ?

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

I've seen this asked a lot here, but never much in the way of replies ... For those of you with a bobbed deuce - what differences do you see in driving compared to the stock deuce - i.e. speed, handling, braking, steering etc. ? (Maybe there isn't much difference ?)

    M52a2 aia to air intercooler

So for those of us who never looked into this technology - what are the main advantages ? And if it means an increase in HP (or torque) how would you measure such a thing other than subjectively - i.e. how much Bang For The Buck are you getting here ?

    Hannibal at the House.

Nice clean truck - where did you get it ? What's in the box behind the cab ?

    WA / OR non-CDL guys

Some more thoughts on this : 1) If WE are allowed to set the GVWR for the truck, then the CDL isn't as much of an issue. 2) I find it hard to believe that the DMV would allow me to take a 5 ton and bob it and still have the GVWR stay the same - you could definitely argue a big safety no-no...

    WA / OR non-CDL guys

As for the CDL - Alex has the definitive word. That chart is pretty specific. But that is not the main question for this thread ... The main question is still : If I have a 5 ton that I bought out of state and I go to the DMV to transfer the title and register the vehicle with...

    WA / OR non-CDL guys

For those of you who own MV's in WA or OR - most especially those who have 5 tons - If I buy a 5 ton (M52A2) and go to register it as an antique vehicle - does the title you have for your truck specify GVWR on it or when you go to DMV can you state the gross weightthat goes on the registration...

N107A1 M149 Water Buffalo Tank Dimensions

Thanks Wayne, sorry to put you thru so much trouble. And it is helpful, I wouldn't have guessed those tanks were so big. I was kind of hoping they would be shorter then they could fit across the width of the bed, but obviously, 90 inches is going to be out there a bit.
