Primer on modern tire upgrades for the deuce?

    1. Yes and no. Radial Truck Tires ST901 (9.00R20,10.00r20,11.00r20,12.00R20,12.00R24) Tires exist, but they are kind of an oddball size - most big rig tires are 22.5 tires. And ANY tire you put on the stock rim is going to require tubes and flaps, which run $30 to $50 each (see Alrednecks...

Primer on modern tire upgrades for the deuce?

Right I knew I forgot something - the M35A3 rims - usually about $50 to $100 more each - work good for singles but usually you have to take the CTIS stuff off and put new valves in IIRC. Also another thing to think about - some guys have put singles up front and duals in the rear. What you end...

Primer on modern tire upgrades for the deuce?

After having read 5000 wheel threads ... If you don't want split rims your options are: 1) 6 hole Ford rims from the 60s and 70s - narrow and you pretty much have to go duals on the rear and narrow tires on the front 2) modified HEMTT rims - quite a few suppliers here and on Ebay -...

My own Idea for an M920A1

Hey Soni - you're dangerous man :) - I thought I had seen some amazing trucks here, but that one really takes the cake (and the whole bakery too). that is just an awesome truck I saw in another thread what the tires were, can you tell me where you got the rims and what diameter and rim width...

When Do We Need Power Steering?

Maybe I missed something or there are some PMs going around, but I've been following and pushing the PS mod threads as much as possible and I don't know of anyone working on a 'kit'. Sephirothq has some parts available for a (as in one) hydro-assist mod, but that's about all I am aware of -...

    bobbed deuce project info please

If you don't do put the M105 bed on the back and use the front tandem in the same position - then you can use the stock driveshaft. I'm going to do a bobber as well but no bed on the rear - got other plans for that space.

    Hydraulic pump for LDT4651D

Actually - what I was trying to say was that the LDT had just the inspection plate and the LDS has the pump, the housing the gear and the nut. I was kind of wildly hoping the LDT had the housing and the gear and was just missing the pump because I think I found a decent source of NOS pumps - but...

    Hydraulic pump for LDT4651D

I am going to bring thread back from the dead :-D:-D:-D In Gerhard's foto up above there is a pump a gear and a housing. I think I have a source for the pump but it does not come with the gear or the housing. Is this housing and gear stock on the M35 ? (can I get that lucky ?) . My...

    Power steering for the Deuce?

G : I have another question - safety related - if you are driving your truck and you some how manage to shut down your engine (in a panic stop by slamming on your brakes for example, without pushing in the clutch) - do you still have steering on your setup (since the PS pump is no longer...

OK more info - the only company I have found so far that has the reman HF54050 steering gears so far is Haldex (Haldex) and the distribute thru NAPA and Carquest (among others). Someone mentioned that they found these thru NAPA but they were a lot of money. And attached is a PDF catalog of...

    Power steering for the Deuce?

G : Some questions if you don't mind :' 1) Do you have a part number for that International reservoir that you used ? Or what kind of truck/bus it came off of ? 2) In that last picture, what is the little white bottle next to the PS reservoir ? 3) How did you fabricate the custom pittman...

Need blacked out copy of SF-97 for clueless DMV

I want to buy a deuce next week. Guy only has an SF-97. So I go to the DMV to ask them about it and get some young blonde the first time says she doesn't know what an SF-97 is but it will 'probably' work. So I go in today and eventually got the manager. Ask her the same question. Pretty much...

    Power steering for the Deuce?

I AM VERY INTERESTED :) :) Can you please put them here or start a new thread. Another thought, a lot of people bob their deuces and cut the rear frame off. Is there any reason that those rear frame pieces could not be used as the frame stiffener piece you showed in your first thread about...
