Anyone looking for some black out lights?

Easy there killer. I threw them out last year when no one asked about them. I do still have the switches though.

Anybody know of a good 2 inch lift for m1009

Eh, just find a good shape used spare. 33's shouldn't be hard to find. That's what I did with mine. Got a nice Goodyear GSA for $20.

Anybody know of a good 2 inch lift for m1009

I like those. Only problem I found was everyone around here wanted an arm and a leg for them. Sort of a very aggressive all terrain.

Anybody know of a good 2 inch lift for m1009

DIY4x doesn't make all the same parts. ORD still has the complete market cornered.

Anybody know of a good 2 inch lift for m1009

Yup, but it's all the other stuff they sell that makes their kits shine. Cost more but WAY better.

Advice on HMMWV tires on these things with stockish wheels

Quality issues, customer service issues, outright lying to several members of this forum (myself included), etc etc etc just do a search for their name and you'll find it. Wouldn't buy **** from them if it was gold plated.

    Stock Steelies Larger Dia. Tire

Something in the 4-5" range is the ideal backspacing for these trucks. Kinda depends how wide you want to go with the tires.
  11. AJMBLAZER

    Stock Steelies Larger Dia. Tire

4.5" is optimum as it keeps most "non-wide" tires off the steering components and under the fender when using stockish rims. Mine are a bit closer to 5" but it's still okay.

new M1009, lots of plans and ideas

Make sure you know someone who knows how to do it. It's definitely a "if you have to ask, pay someone to do it" skill. Very easy to screw things up and end up with $400 worth of broken parts if installed incorrectly.

    M1009 Straight Pipes?

Large, restrictive factory style mufflers. Sound insulation around the engine bay to absorb the clanking...ummm...that's about it.

new M1009, lots of plans and ideas

Best $25 I spend every year on my truck. Besides, the garage is free and most of the tech is in there anyways.

new M1009, lots of plans and ideas

DON'T buy ANYTHING from Alfa Heaven. Do a search for them...you'll see why. No, your axles are basically on borrowed time with anything past 35's and even light offroading. Plenty of folks have blown up 10 bolts with smaller tires and daily driving. Especially the rear Grenade-Lock...

    Stock Steelies Larger Dia. Tire

You want at least a 35" tire. Any shorter and you won't notice much difference at all between them and the stock sized 31-32" tires. I've got narrow 38's on mine with stock GMC rims and 1" of front lift and cutting. Soon to relocate my front axle to help even more. I drove mine with 36" HMMWV...

    Quick question about my m1009

Not sure but looking at mine there seems to be little screws at the top and bottom where the rod the vent pivots on goes into that...I think aluminum..."bump" that sticks out from the window frame on the top and bottom.

    m1008 Lift

Eh, DOT 3 works fine if you keep after it. Also lots cheaper and easier to find. I'm happy with it in my vehicles.
