Just FYI for everyone that's in the same boat, I found out my issue. The grounding tab was missing because it had broken off. I stuck a small wire from where the tab used to be and stuffed it next to the bulb. It will work for right now and am going to find me a front marker/turn socket this...
Barrman! You are the man! Been messing with this same thing ALL DAY and after reading what you said about the ground tabs breaking off, I found my problem (I hope). Is that an OEM only part? I was searching on Autozone and didn't see anything.

To be honest with you, I haven't looked into this any further. My Dad was sick and just passed so all the projects I had for myself and friends are still on hold. Once I figure it out and troubleshoot it, I will post up my findings.

Ya, I thought the short style was for vans as well. I will probably grab a couple off the 1031 and check the number. I don't want to turn those in because they only have 13K on them. This set that's on my 1009 have over 72K. I figured those would be the better candidate for a core.
I have been emailing Fred down there and he tells me that I should need the short body injectors with 054 stamped on them. My eyes aren't as great as they used to be, so I can't see what's on mine. Does this sound right? I just wanted to order the right ones the first time.

That brings up a good question Oilcan-
If your regulator goes out when the window is up, how do you drop the windows to lower the gate to service it? Does it have some back up crank inside?
