Would a bad TPS keep the transmission from downshifting as well? I can't get mine to downshift no matter what.

Just FYI for everyone that's in the same boat, I found out my issue. The grounding tab was missing because it had broken off. I stuck a small wire from where the tab used to be and stuffed it next to the bulb. It will work for right now and am going to find me a front marker/turn socket this...

That brings up a good question Oilcan- If your regulator goes out when the window is up, how do you drop the windows to lower the gate to service it? Does it have some back up crank inside?

I will double check. I am going to hit up the local salvage yards after work and see what I can find.
