thanks this 24 volt system has got me little amped up when it comes to what is problably normal issues given the age of the vehicle and all (excuse the pun)
how long should the gen 2 light stay on after starting. mine comes on but as soon as i idle it up it goes and doesnt come back on. until the next start
Tell me if this is normal or not. When i start the truck(1028) the volt meter goes to green and then slowly falls back to yellow then i hear a click in the dash as descrbie above the needle climbs back to green and never waivers.

Does anyone have recomendations on how to or not to remove the radio plug under the dash on a 86 1028. I was wanting to use that area for a CB mount and hopefully get rid of that plug or maybe us power from it for the CB.
Need some help. I ripped all the foam and vinyl off the dash in 1028 thinking I would have a 50's ear solid metal dash I could just paint. NOPE. Quarter size holes everywhere. Any idea what to do next is greatly needed and appreciated.
