I will give that a try first thing tomorrow. It's dark already and I have poor lighting. Plus I'm at work and have stuff to get done. Don't you just hate how jobs get in the way of fun. Lol
Fixed my turn signal issue. Turned out to be a bad ground at the flasher relay on the firewall in the cab. Found a new grounding point for the relay and the turn signals work as they are supposed to.
Doing more troubleshooting I have come to the conclusion that I have either a bad solenoid or a bad horn switch. All the wires check good with a meter. I guess I will just get online and order a new solenoid and switch.
I get power to the solenoid. When I disconnect the lead going to the horn button and connect a tester (no air pressure at this point) I get a full 24 volts. When I start the truck and build air pressure.and press the horn button on the steering column I get no horn even with full 120 psi in...
I have no working horn. I have already put a meter to everything and have power (22 to 24 volts) at connector 26 (according to wiring schematic on the -4 that is the hot wire). When checking resistance I have good ground. My question at this point is this... Is there a way to open up the...
Check on Those Military Guys website. I think they had them for sale. I remember seeing them there I think. I'm not affiliated with them or trying to force you to buy from them, just saying where I remember seeing shackle mounts for sale in the past.
I will try to get it done tomorrow. By the time I was done it was already dark and today I was busy trying to sell another truck and now I'm headed to work. I will get pics before work tomorrow and get them posted.
Just finished installing my new to me cargo cover and getting my antenna mounted for my RT-524. Also got my MX-7777 surge suppressor installed. Next step is to install the RT-524 mount and radio. Hope to have that done before next weekend.
I have read the posts and looked at the TM's so I do see what it would take to replace the window regulator. My question at this point is before I go replacing parts is there anything that can be tightened on the regulator or anything that can be fixed for the window to keep my passenger side...
Picked up some bows and a cargo cover yesterday along with a few other useful items. Still need to keep troubleshooting my turn signal issue but I have so far ruled out the three main components (three lever light switch, turn signal switch, and flasher control unit). My next step will be...
The one good thing I will say about having my setup on the back of the bench seat is you don't see any boxes at all. I just have the two headsets visible. It is just a pain to adjust anything.
I like the idea you have for mounting the individual stations. I may have to do the same thing with mine. It looks like it would make it easier to work the controls and volume that way by making it more accessible. Mine are currently mounted to the back of the seat and it is hard to do...
Possibly the connector on the back of the gauge isn't seated correctly. I had that happen to me before. Not the same gauge but on a headlight on my old truck. Fixed the connector so it.seated correctly and everything worked the way it was supposed to. If the male pin doesn't go in straight...
I will check the grounds again and if not get into the turn signal switch itself. Can't do it tonight since it's already dark and I have to work tomorrow but as soon as I get up Monday I will check both and report back as to any results or if the problem persists. Thank you for the input...
Here is the thing though, the turn signals are not LED. The LED's are only the headlights and when I changed headlights (not turn signals or tail lights) that is when the turn signals stopped working. I'm trying to figure out if changing to LED headlights will cause an issue with the turn...
