We're having issues with our 925A2 running right. Bought from DRMO with algae in tank. Cleaned system, changed filters 4 times now. Sanitized fuel tank, running algae-X. Tank is spotless, filters clean on last change last week after running about 6 full tanks thru it. We bumped up the low...
Ours is having same problem. Yes you can bypass the switch. Just pull off the line going to the T-case and line coming from dash air lever and connect together with fitting. Also recommend capping 3rd line going to roller switch as this is air pressure all the time for the auto engage. Our auto...
Thank you to everyone. He picked the trucl up yesterday at 8:00 AM. Checked it all over, air up the tires and got on the road about 10 AM. He got home last night at 11:30 PM without incident. He said truck ran perfect!
Adding a winch from '83 AM General 925 to our 923A2. Sold the 925 a few months back and the buyer doesn't use the winch for his application. So he sold us the whole assembly, tank, brackets, hoses, linkages etc off of it for $800. Just got the winch on the frame extensions yesterday. Didn't...
Hey everyone, I got a truck from GL for a buddy in OH and he's picking up the truck tomorrow morning, Thursday 4/17/14, in Sparta, WI. Trucks expected to run/drive (seen in videos). Any help anyone could offer along his travels if he runs into problems would be AWESOME! I've recovered 6 trucks...
Here's video of our trucks using a R/C helicopter. Fast forward to 7:25 and then both our trucks are seen starting at 9:17. Keep watching and you see our truck pull 2 trucks at same time. Love it.

Everyone including manual says not to use reverse in low range. But we personally have used low range reverse in every truck we've owned without issue. In sloppy mud it doesn't have the binding action it would take to hurt anything. We only use low range in sloppy mud in SW FL. I've had 7 trucks...
VERY IMPRESSED! We were wanting to do this to our last truck but sold it before we could. We just locked fan in all the time. Our 925A2 actuator works fine on our current truck but our 923A2 the actuator is locked "engaged" now. All the other trucks when the actuator failed it wouldn't engage...
Check the air dryer. Ours was leaking out bottom purge vent. Had to do rebuild on it. But same problems you listed. Wouldn't build air or it would drop air rapidly.
Yall are funny! LOL.
Update, no bent rods. Pulled injectors, cleared cylinders, cleaned intake. Changed oil. Runs perfect again. I was told by many these engines were tough as tanks. It's proved that. Won't happen again. Thats for sure. My buddies want to relocate the intake to the hood...
Have a problem, would like some input. We were playing this weekend with our trucks and our 923a2 with the 8.3 turbo forded in a canal about 4-5 foot deep. Seal on the filter housing wasn't sealed properly and canister filled with water and sucked in water in intake. It started puffing white...
Stupid question, but are the fan override bolts provided screwed into fan clutch somewhere or do I need to carry bolts with me that fit in the event I need them?
Has anyone done an actuator bypass using an air toggle switch or electric solenoid air switch to turn the fan on manually? I've entertained the idea because I've been in sloppy mud up to the bottom of the fan. If the fan kicks on it sprays mud everywhere and coats engine in the mud. Clearly I...
Anyone know where to get a new track insert to have sewed on the front edge of the soft top that slides into the track on the windshield? Our seamed pulled out nearly all the way across the top. So took it to upholstery guy and he can't find new insert to sew on it. Track insert needs replaced...
We had a similar issue with our 925. It was dumping air thru intake when parking brake was released. Had to cage spring brakes just to drive it. Service brakes seemed to work. Finally discovered problem, it was the double check valve under drivers step. Piece of sand got in there and stop the...
