When my truck is idling the Gen2 light comes on very very dim. I can only see it at night, but it goes away with any bit of gas pedal. It's not a full glow, like on start up. It's afterward and a very faint glow.

Pulled the dash apart and fixed the 2 cluster lights that weren't working. Then while it was apart, decided to run the wiring for my 12v cig. ports so I can finally charge my GPS.

Sounds like you had a fun trip. I did a similar route to yours on New Years Eve, picking mine up from Denver and driving back to LA. Fun, helling, long trip. Well worth it in the end.
