    My MEP-803a experience

it was pretty silly, but I did hear that there was an officer involved accident on the flyover, so maybe it was more severe than I think. Sarcasm was not directed at you, rather at the situation.

The govplanet site rep told me he installed them new when he got the unit. I'll take them out and look for the mfg date.

    My MEP-803a experience

With the looming snowpocalypse, I thought I'd best go out and crank the MEP. *groan groan click click click* Batteries nearly dead. I have my solar charger hooked up, and it shows that it is charging. I checked the voltage from the panel, ~25v, and out of the controller, 24v. I had been...

    Gov planet 803a price.

got em from Lake Butler? I got the other set for $4800, but they weren't as nice. I just sold one with the trailer, after repainting the trailer and doing some work on the generator, for $5,500.

Connected my MEP-803A the proper way as my home standby generator... Install pics...

I ran 3x4awg for L1, L3, N. Used 6awg for gnd. All copper. The 6awg saved a little money, I think I was about 25'. You can go smaller, but you just spent north of 1k, minimum, on the generator, why cheap out on the install?

    My MEP-803a experience

I got my pickup built, but didn't bother to connect it yet. No damage here. ETA: I just tested my aux connection and I don't think my aux pump is coming on. Not going to troubleshoot right now since it is running, but going to dig in and check it out later.

    My MEP-803a experience

picking up a 250 gallon heating oil tank wednesday. My generator has been running about 7 hours and gauge shows 1/2 tank left. Not running much, not even registering on the % gauge, but I'm liking the burn rate. I know I'd be burning more if the AC were on.

    My MEP-803a experience

picked up a used amsoil 15w40 drum, filled it with regular diesel, ORD was only $0.30-0.40 cheaper and it was 20 miles away, not worth the trip.

    My MEP-803a experience

Sold the genset on the trailer. Looking at fuel storage options and spending $400 on a transfer tank just doesn't make sense. Craigslist has a couple of 55 gallon drums with locking lids and bungs, formerly used in spray polyurethane foam, for $10 each. Going to pick up 2x A side barrels and...

I picked up my 803a's after Hermine knocked us out for 5 days last year. Runs everything, AC/dryer/fridge/freezer, all of it.

    My MEP-803a experience

Cranked it up and let it run for about an hour while I setup my load bank. Unfortunately, my pool timer cut off the pump while I had power going to my water heater elements, and poof, they let out the magic smoke. csheath was nice enough to loan me his heat strip load bank. I spent about an...

    IronPlanet Arbitration Agreement

I received an arbitration agreement from IronPlanet related to my purchase of a 10kw power plant last year. I did not initiate this agreement, they sent it to me out of the blue. The agreement waives my rights for any lawsuits, private or class action. Attached to the agreement is an...

    My MEP-803a experience

It took some doing, but I was able to get other gen back up on the trailer. I don't have a lift or a forklift, so it took some thinking. I backed the trailer into a ditch in front of my house, then, blocked up the front high enough to where the back was the same height as my other trailer, at...
