    these are all good points .no rock crawlers.i just did some measuring and found that i can fit both of them in my shop.might have to sell my woodsplitter and my harley to make more room.but it will be worth it.looking forward to sending pics to u guys thanks Jack

    Yes it will be hard but I am thinking of leaving them in the original condition. Providing they are not rusted two pieces. The picture I saw looks like they are pretty well-preserved. Saturday cannot come soon enough.

    distributor cap issue

    i changed my distributor cap and the old one does not have the spring that touches the coil HT side,like the new one does.it seams to run a little bit better with the new one.how does it run without the spring making direct contact,the jeep had a slight miss with the old one now with the new one...

    just got a new 24 volt coil from kaiser willys.which is a very reputable company. and it is a chrome newstar.i have heard not so good feedback about the chrome coils.are they any better now days.any thoughts on these newstar coils.it says taiwan but i have heard that newstar is american made...

    i have been looking for a electronic ignition for my m38a1 .cant find much except for 12 volt conversions,mine is 24 military,is there a sort of a plug and play for this ,?any help would be appreciated.most of the info i have found are from 2009.

    my m38a1 has a solidstate regulator so the amp meter does not work.i ordered a 24 volt batrt gen guage so what is the best way to install it.can i go to #27 and a good ground?is it that easy?any suggestions.snd what do i do with 8 and 9 wires from th ampmeter,

    m38a1 runs idles then dies on acceleration

    i started with the condensor and the jeep starts up and runs alot better.but still has a hesitation or miss .the coil i tested has a 11.9 ohms on the primary and 9,500 on the secondary.shouldnt the primary be around 1.2 or just above zero not 11.9.i checked it on the 200 scale .i tried a 6 volt...

    m37 coil testing

    i suspect a bad coil .got a primary reading of 11.9 and a HT of 9,500 .does that sound like it is in tolerance .should'nt the primary be lower than that like arounf 1.2.I tested the primary on the 200 range on the meter.and the HT seams low also.any thoughts ?

    condensor replacement.

    i understand that if u want to change out the condensor u have to take out the plate over the distributor,i see 2 screws that hold it together .dont want to mess anything up if i do this.to get to the screw that holds the condensor it looks like this is a must.my question is is this an easy task?

    I filed down the point a bit nothing else. Runs a little bit better. Question is can I get the points and condenser from NAPA Auto Parts. Do they have to be 24 volt parts. As you can see I am NOT a mechanic just muddling through thanks for the help

    my m38a1 used to run great ,it has a new engine rebuild new fuel tank .new lines . pick up tube with new filter rebuilt carb.ran great until today.the switch was left on overnight.i charged the batteries and got it running then it quit and have trouble starting and keeping it running. the points...
