That appears to have about filled the trailer. I guess I didn't realize how long they were. You said yours is 14ft?? Looks like the military trailer was almost if not the same length?
I think he's talking about holding the start switch in start position until it builds oil pressure. If so, mine tries to engage until I let off on the start after building oil pressure so yes that would be normal I believe.
I would monitor the hz drop when you get a load on it. Dropping 3 to 4...
I'd don't have a trailer but if you look at the generator being 32 inches wide and allow a minimum of 2 ft on each side it is at least 7 ft and I'd be 8 ft wide.
OOOOOPS! Looks like I may be wrong about that. The plaque show 75 inches from the outside of one tire to the other.
Wow! After reading the horror stories I sure am I had decided I would wait for a deal on an 803 or I may have ended up with one of the 802's. I'll really be gun shy now. For those who have got their hands on one ( those with the older sets) of the 80-'s what is your opinion. Are they inferior...
Glad to hear its running and making power
Thats a huge drop for a miter saw. No expert here but from what I've read here I believe it needs the governor adjusted??
re ally the only time mine drops enough to see it is my water pump starting, the dryer, an A/C or something similar. Otherwise it...
My oil pressure is high (60lb) but drops to about 40 - 45lb after a few minutes.
60hz should put you at 1800 RPM. Not sure where that puts you on % of throttle. I normally set mine at 61-62hz and with a big load it will drop a little. Sometimes as low as 59- 59.5
You want to turn voltage up...
If you've got the water heater and a burner or two going on the stove you will have a decent load test going on the 002. If it were me, I'd seriously consider going to the 003. I doubt that you have wet stacking issues.
You may be fine but if you add an a/c unit or two (at least a their start...
According to the WIKI on the 002 you can have as much as 52 amps.
MEP-002A
This unit is a 5 kilowatt, 60 Hertz Generator Set. It consists of a revolving field alternator powered by an air cooled diesel engine. These sets are not designed for parallel operation.

Page 156 of TM 96115-584-24P shows the assembly. The spring is pretty stout to prevent blow by. The retainer keeps the spring from pushing through the filter element. It covers more area on the base of the filter.
I believe they are a reputable company.
What are you thinking needs to be done to it? Did they give you any type of quote? Based on what they sell their units for I'd be seeing if I couldn't do it myself. Seems to be TOP dollar for their units.
I'm not an expert by any means but sounds like it may be a compression issue or as stated above the batteries may not be turning it over fast enough.
You say there is fuel pumping
1. Can you hear fuel returning to the tank?
2. Did you bleed the lines?
Could also be the injectors are stuck or...
MEP-002a ... Runs great. I think I need to do something with the DC Charging System. It charges at 30 + after running for a few minutes. Will do that as soon as the weather breaks.
MEP-003a ... Also runs great. I am going to get the injectors gone over as soon as it's nice enough out there to...

This thread may be helpful.
Do the test described at the top of page 4 of the thread. If you read through the thread it turned out I had bad diodes on the A4 Board. If that is what it is...
Honestly that is probably below the average for an 003 right now. Congratulations!
As mentioned read the TM. It will save a lot of questions or at least give you a real good feel for what you're working with.
